22.01.2022 My diary tells me we should be in Italy right now. This weekend it felt pretty close! We managed to recreate a little bit of Italy in the Hunter Valley. With the help of this wonderful villa, some great friends and lots of good Italian food and local wine. Don't let Covid stop you from having fun. Let me help you plan something similar whilst we wait for the borders to open up.... #saltravel_ #huntervalley #italy #winecountry #dontstoptraveling #nsw #yourownbackyard See more

21.01.2022 I am sad that Victoria's borders have closed, however we are lucky to have so many fabulous wine regions to explore in Australia. #saltravel_ #huntervalley #tyrrell #gundogestate #nswwineries #explorensw #ilovewine @ Hunter Valley Wine Country

19.01.2022 This week I visited this little gem, just an hour from Sydney CBD, and 20 mins by boat transfer and you could be a million miles away! So whilst borders remain closed, don't feel confined, get out and explore our wonderful State! #saltravel_ #addictedtoaustralia #marramarralodge #explorensw #nsw @ Marramarra Lodge

17.01.2022 Checked out the newly renovated Byron at Byron this week. Looking very schmik. There is also still availability here which is quite amazing ! On the outskirts of Byron which can be a good thing now Byron is so busy. Close to some good restaurants like Harvest in Newrybar and The Shelter at Lennox Head which are 2 of my favourites! Also has easy access to the beautiful . Tallows beach.

16.01.2022 Some pics from our "Should be in Italy" weekend away. Where should you be right now? Or this year? Can I help fill the gap until you are able to travel OS again? #saltravel_ #travelwillcomeback #italy #huntervalley #dontstoptraveling #nsw #travelnsw #winecountry #weekendwithfriends

16.01.2022 It has been a while since I've ventured away from home. Although I felt as though I was in Tuscany today, I was just a 2hr drive from Sydney in the Hunter Valley. Whilst here I'm staying at the newly refurbished Spicers Guesthouse, formerly Peppers. I'm also checking out some of the lesser known boutique wineries such as Iron Gate Estate.

16.01.2022 what a great way to start the day #SALTravel #pieronesydney #sunrise #sydneyhotels #sydney

12.01.2022 Dreaming of the Arctic? Next best, and slightly warmer, try the Igloo Suite at Pier One Sydney. Book Sunset, Twilight or Stay the night for a unique experience close to home! #saltravel_ #pieronesydney #igloosuitessydney #igloo #staycation #visitnsw #smartflyerau

10.01.2022 Special times in Byron. Dream of living here again one day. Having chooks, pigs, maybe a cow and a beehive!! #saltravel_ #byronhinterland #byronbay #farmlife #countryliving #dreaming

09.01.2022 Whilst we wait for borders to open, we can at least have a little bit of fun! We do live on one of the best harbours in the world, why not treat yourself to 3 nights at my favourite Sydney harbour hotel...whilst only paying for 2 nights! This offer is available until 30 Sep for stays up until March 2021.

08.01.2022 Every cushion tells a story! Thank you to my good friend Libby, who understands the challenges of running a business! I love this cushion and can't wait to show it off in my new air bnb. Salt Living is keeping me afloat whilst travel is limited. #saltravel_ #salt_living_ #hampsonshomewares #manlybeach #airbnbmanly #staylocal #supportsmallbusinesses #covidxmas2020

06.01.2022 As borders remain closed, I've been checking out some more properties in NSW. The Convent is a lovely boutique property and the perfect place to stay if you want to dine at Circa 1867. A short stroll down the tree-lined driveway. Circa 1876, probably the Hunter Valley's most iconic restaurant, located in an historic cottage. The Convent is full of old world charm, definitely a 4 star property, however with 5 star service. Beautiful gardens that I would love to visit again in the summer when the wisteria is in full bloom. If you are looking for a small boutique property in the Hunter Valley I would highly recommend The Convent.

05.01.2022 Thinking about exploring the Hunter Valley? Spicers Vineyards Estate is very romantic, with only 12 suites, each with a fireplace, an award winning restaurant, Botanica. Located in its own private vineyard. I also stayed at Spicers Guesthouse which is a good option, especially for families. Newly refurbished so quite schmick, though they were having a few post Covid opening issues with staffing, so service wasn't top notch unfortunately. If you are planning a trip to the Hunter, I would highly recommend booking into the wineries as they are all practising social distancing and therefore limited capacity. I can also recommend a private wine tour and everything will be taken care of.
