23.01.2022 NSW Do you know where this amazing piece of history is? The oldest bridge in NSW. We found it by accident. 1832-33 it was built. I will share next week. I love our country as there is always some amazing history to be found. I feel like we don't have much history or anything old is torn down. I so love this!!

A heritage-listed road bridge that carries the Mitchell's Pass across Brookside Creek, located at Glenbrook. The oldest stone arch bridge on mainland Australia. Allowed easy ascent of the Blue Mountains forming the route of the Great Western Highway.... David Lennox was the master stone mason who constructed the bridge 1832-1833 along with selected convicts who he trained in the skills of stone masonry and bridge building As we are road tripping within our country - Don't forget to stop at historical sites you don't know what Gems you might miss.
