21.01.2022 Touching base to all our amazing clients! As Geelong falls under Regional Victoria, stage 3 restrictions will come into play as of Wednesday 11.59 pm. YES we are allowed to be still OPEN and trading, but ONLY for all of our hair services ( Hair cuts, Colours, Styling etc) unfortunately all Beauty services will STOP for the next 6 weeks or until advised otherwise. We will be working Wednesday - Saturday moving forward ,so if we are closed please feel free to leave us a mess...age by phone or though Facebook/Instagram and we will get back to you as soon as we can . Masks are to be worn for EVERY service! Refusal to do so, will result in your appointment being canceled and a FEE will apply . If you don’t have one, we are selling disposable ones for clients to purchase. If any of our clients live or work in the lockdown areas of Melbourne, we would appreciate you letting us know ASAP so we can reschedule your appointment. We are also still refusing the right to anyone that comes in that we feel are unsafe to be here. Any client that has cold and flu or sickness symptoms needs to reschedule their appointment as soon as possible. As we have reduced how many clients we can have in the salon we unfortunately can’t accommodate to extras in the salon while your appointment is happening. Unfortunately all magazines have been removed so you are more than welcome to bring your own, same rules apply for beverages. We hope everyone is staying home and staying safe! 18.01.2022 Hello to all our beautiful clients! We have decided with the current situation at hand regarding COVID-19, as of Tuesday 28th July we will be wearing masks while working in the salon, please do not be frightened as our smiles will still be underneath. We recommend and encourage all clients to bring their own mask/s to their appointment from Tuesday 28th July.... We have hand sanitiser all around the salon for you to use on arrival and during your appointment. We are extremely sorry if this inconveniences anyone but we just want to do our part in stopping the spread and keeping everyone safe. Reminder that if you or anyone from your household/workplace has recently been in contact with a positive case or have cold and flu symptoms to please let us know to reschedule your appointment ASAP. 17.01.2022 It’s been one crazy year this year that I feel like most of us would like to forget. We feel very lucky to be able to still have our doors open in these difficult times. It’s amazing to hear all of our fellow hairdressers in Melbourne have been able to finally open their doors again .

10.01.2022 So excited to share with you all the arrival of my beautiful little niece Gabriella Julianna Ricciuti. Born 3.5 weeks early on 27/07/20, 3.20 pm. Weighing 2.7 kg and 48 cm long. I have never been so smittened by one little human who has taken my heart and puts the biggest smile on my face. A massive Congratulations to my beautiful sister Maria and brother in law Benjamin for blessing our families with the most precious gift they could ever give us. I love you so much little Gabriella , aunty Vicks will always be there for you no matter what. 10.01.2022 To all our valuable customers, In regards to COVID and the growing cases at the moment we have decided to change our hours slightly and only work Wednesday Saturday. To arrange an appoinment when we aren’t here call and leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can or message us on FACEBOOK or INSTAGRAM. As of Tuesday 28th July masks will be COMPULSORY while in the salon, if you do not have your own one will be provided for you at $1.50 each and must be wo...rn in salon, if refused appoinment will be cancelled and a fee will apply. 08.01.2022 ATTN: Colour Corrections This post is a big read and full of important information but we would encourage and love everybody to read it With isolation coming to an end we have had a few experiences involving supermarket products and especially colours.... We would just like to clarify that ANYTHING you can purchase from a supermarket, chemist etc, anywhere that isn’t a hair salon or beauty salon is an unprofessional product, no matter what the brand is. Eg. L’Oréal colours and products you can purchase anywhere but from a salon isn’t a professional product. Products that also state that they are a wash out are indeed not, as everyone’s hair is different and holds onto colour differently. What we have experienced recently was a supermarket L’Oréal wash out reacting in an unexpected way. Our client had put a blue wash out throughout their hair for a fun iso change, nothing wrong with having a bit of fun with colour but with unprofessional products.. not so fun We wanted to try lighten out the blue and see if it reacts in the way a professional colour should. In this case it didn’t.. her hair had lightened but with the blue/green it had lightened to a lighter and brighter blue. We then had to put a darker semi all over to cover it and unfortunately it still had that murky blue colour coming through and to solve that we put another semi all over that was a level darker. Making her hair now look so much fresher and healthier. Unfortunately working with chemicals and especially with something we don’t know about it can be unpredictable. We don’t recommend our professional products for monetary gain we truly recommend them as we know they are going to keep the longevity of your colour, the health of your hair and keep it being the best it can be without any of the nastys. If it was up to hairdressers there would be not one hair product or colour in supermarkets and chemists that ruin your hair.

04.01.2022 2 years ago today, I was blessed to have this young lady join my Salon Meraki family. Hannah Mahoney, thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication through out these 2 years of working beside me. From the moment you walked into the salon with a great big smile on your face, I new you were exactly what I was looking for . You have grown so much in these past years and I am so very proud of you. I look forward to many more photos, laughs and memories to come .
