25.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS! NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced Greater Sydney, Wollongong, Blue Mountains and the Central Coast will be going into lockdown from 6:...00pm tonight. The lockdown will last until midnight on Friday, July 9. She said: "It means all of us have to stay home unless for the four following reasons: "Unless we have to work outside the home or get educated outside of the home, and given school holidays, that obviously doesn't apply. But if you must work outside the home, you're able to do that. "If you need to seek medical attention, including getting a COVID test, getting a vaccine or any other medical attention, you're allowed to. "And you're also allowed to leave the home for care and compassionate grounds as well. "And obviously, you're allowed outside to purchase essential goods and services. There is no need to panic buy. All the shops will be open every day of the week. "There is no curfew. You can leave your home at any stage to purchase any essential goods that you need to and that is a given. Be thoughtful and considerate about fellow citizens and no need to panic buy. "For the next two weeks, you will be able to exercise outdoors. In the regions that we've outlined, in no more than groups of 10, you're able to gather outside for the recreational exercise. And of course, when you are outdoors in groups of 10, make sure that you maintain a good social distance and follow the health instructions." FOR ALL OTHER PARTS OF NSW, THE FOLLOWING RESTRICTIONS APPLY: People who have been in the Greater Sydney region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after June 21 should follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney. "In the regions (anywhere in NSW other than Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast or Wollongong), no more than five visitors in your home. "All hospitality has to be seated one person per four square metre rule. "Only a 50 per cent capacity for outdoor events. Indoor mask wearing and, again, restrictions in relation to funerals and weddings. "So for those parts of New South Wales that aren't in lockdown, restrictions still apply because we want to make sure that if there have been any occasions where people unknowingly have taken the virus outside into the regions, that we don't have any spread in those regions." Masks will be compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events; Drinking while standing at indoor venues will not be allowed; Singing by audiences and choirs at indoor venues or by congregants at indoor places of worship will not be allowed; Dancing will not be allowed at indoor hospitality venues or nightclubs however, dancing is allowed at weddings for the wedding party only (no more than 20 people); Dance and gym classes limited to 20 per class (masks must be worn); The one person per four square metre rule will be re-introduced for all indoor and outdoor settings, including weddings and funerals; Outdoor seated, ticketed events will be limited to 50 per cent seated capacity.

22.01.2022 Big thumbs up to ghd, giving the hair industry another reason to celebrate this holiday season, with an unmatched level of investment across TV, digital, and social media to support its Wish Upon A Star limited-edition Christmas collection. ghd ANZ managing director Ludovic Dellazzeri said the comprehensive 360 degree campaign will support the trade after a tough year in the face of COVID-19, whilst inspiring consumers.... We know that Christmas is the busiest time of year for salons and also their biggest retail opportunity, which is particularly important as the industry is recovering from the impact of lockdowns and social distancing restrictions, said Ludovic. We wanted to show our support to our partners by raising awareness and directing consumers into salons, so are investing to a level never-before-seen in the ANZ hair industry, including returning to television for the first time in 10 years. The TV campaign just commenced and will see ghd commercials air over 3,500 times across major free-to-air and pay TV channels in the lead up to Christmas. The TV campaign will further amplify ghd’s digital and influencer activity, where the brand is partnering with over 400 of ANZ’s leading influencers across hair, beauty, fashion, and lifestyle in what is set to be the industry’s most comprehensive social media campaign in Australia and New Zealand. The result? A powerful campaign encouraging consumers to Give Like a Queen, Live Like a Queen this holiday season, which will be seen over 122.5 million times by women and gifters. The TV creative itself takes inspiration from the stars for a season of sparkling hair. Women are a force to be reckoned with and ghd recognised that it was time for the Three Wise Men to step aside because the Three ghd Queens are here to make Christmas hair dreams come true.

05.01.2022 CASH GRANTS ANNOUNCED FOR VIC SOLE TRADERS Today, Minister for Jobs and Precincts, Martin Pakula, said eligible sole traders in Victoria will receive grants... of $3000. We think that will support around 33,000 sole traders across the state," Mr Pakula said. A summary of eligibility is below: Grants of $3,000 will be available to more than 30,000 sole traders across the state. These are operators who will be closed, heavily restricted or restricted under the Second Step of the Roadmap. Sole traders working in accommodation, tourism and hospitality, non-permitted retail, media and film production, creative studios, outdoor entertainment and in private museums and galleries as well as gym owners will benefit. Sole traders must be a tenant or licensee in a commercial premises or location, be registered for JobKeeper and have a minimum turnover of $75,000. Primary income support for sole traders has been provided by the Commonwealth Government and JobKeeper - the State has focused its efforts on businesses that employ people. This new Sole Trader initiative is recognition of the serious challenges that sole traders have faced and will help tens of thousands of operators to pay their overheads. Apart from today’s announcement, the Victorian Government has previously backed sole traders through the Commercial Tenancy Relief Scheme, the Regional Tourism Accommodation Support Program, the Sustaining Creative Workers fund and the Upskill My Business free training initiative, as well as programs providing mentors and mental health support.

03.01.2022 Support for NSW Small Business affected by latest Covid-19 Lockdown The NSW Government has announced a financial support package to assist NSW small busines...ses impacted by the current COVID-19 restrictions. To be eligible for the grants, businesses will need to show a decline in turnover across a minimum two-week period after the commencement of major restrictions on June 26. The Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant is available to businesses and sole traders with a turnover of more than $75,000 per annum but below the NSW Government 2020-21 payroll tax threshold of $1,200,000 as at 1 July 2020. These businesses must have fewer than 20 full time equivalent employees and an Australian Business Number (ABN) registered in New South Wales or be able to demonstrate they are physically located and primarily operating in New South Wales. (Full criteria will be available in coming days on the Service NSW website). The NSW State Package is based on a reduction in turnover and you'll need to provide evidence through an accountant in relation to that decline in turnover. Funding won't be available until 19 July so that businesses have time to provide the information required on their specific downturn in trade. There will be a payment of $10,000 if there is a turnover reduction of 75%, a payment of $7,000 if there is a turnover reduction of 50% and a turnover reduction of $5,000 if there is a turnover reduction of 30%. Full criteria and further details will be available in coming days on the Service NSW website: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/ https://www.smallbusiness.nsw.gov.au//support-nsw-small-bu
