19.01.2022 One of our friendly locals that visit’s us up here on the Ningaloo Reef. Each year between mid-March and July these slow-moving, gentle giants migrate past the Ningaloo Reef. When you stay with us, we offer Whale Shark swims with select local partners and you can expect an up-close-and-personal view of these gentle giants for yourself.

06.01.2022 This week signals the start of Humpback Whale season at Sal Salis! Did you know Humpback Whale calves are known to whisper to their mothers as they travel along? Humpback mothers nurse their calves for almost a full year, but they aren't done growing then. It can take a full decade for them to reach adulthood! We warmly welcome them each year as they pass through Ningaloo Reef on their way to their South Pole feeding grounds.
