23.01.2022 Still watercolour-ing my way through the days... Its so interesting how my mood changes with the times as I go from bursts of colour to soft florals to brighter bouquets to stormy skies to something I think might resemble an Anzac digger with a Japanese/bonsai influence!!! All just messages waiting to be seen... Little personal message here... I Hope you are all still keeping safe and looking after your mental health... Remember its a pandemic... You dont have to use th...is opportunity to better yourself... You dont need to accomplish more around the home, or work on yourself... It is OK to just be. If I see another how to manage your weight while in quarantine post, Im going to loose it! My God, eat if want... Cos youre bored, or because youre sad or just because it looks delicious. There is no wrong here. Diet culture jumping in board and taking advantage of a catastrophic situation... SHAME on you. Switch off the news. Limit your media access. Rest. Art. Relax. 18.01.2022 During these uncertain times, I have found myself being pulled to watercolours to soothe my anxiety and calm my mind. Watercolours have always been my go to, my safety... So it seems fitting I am feeling attracted to something I know! I find the fluidity so soothing. I never have intention, I just allow the process. Today I even tried a blind watercolour! (Image 5 below) Yep...eyes closed, equipment set in front of me and and I blindly dipped, dripped and dabbled... To ...my surprise the outcome was really satisfying. I added bits where I felt needed it and then set it aside...An experiment I will definitely attempt again. Like so many right now, I feel lost I feel lonely I feel sad I feel bored I lack the feeling of purpose I feel like nothing matters I feel I have nothing to look forward to... So I paint. I create. I release it all and TRY to remember that feelings are not permanent. I am though, validating they are very real for me right now. I hope you are all finding something to keep you safe. To keep you going when you have lost the desire to do so. When in doubt... I art ! I never regret it Xxx I never will With heART & soul

10.01.2022 Commission pieces created and delivered to an extra special recipient! Loved every second of making these beauties and delivering them with their own unique written poem was a gift to me in itself.

10.01.2022 The days arent getting easier... The feelings are stronger than ever. I cant help but wonder why Im loosing so much... Each day seems to bring a new blow... But maybe Im clearing space for something I dont have to work so hard at...... Maybe something is coming where I DO NOT have to pour everything I have into only to receive nothing in return. Maybe new relationships and connections are coming that make me feel loved and valid without condition...without expectation...without begging to be heard. For now, Ill hold onto this hope that better things are coming and maybe secretly I am manifesting the colours of these paintings into those brighter days and a lighter heart. Maybe my current watercolour obsession is helping me water down the intensity of my feelings. Maybe Im diluting my fears until they completely dissolve away. Maybe Im allowing the flow more than I can see right now... Im giving my feelings somewhere else to go, to be absorbed rather than within my own body. So Ill keep painting. And lets see... Im done with the old. Im ready for the new. With heART & soul Xxx
