24.01.2022 The wonderfully collaborative relationship with our client helped us to create these totally Rad designs for their start-up collateral. The colour palette worked so well for the patient referral forms, which were both printed and setup for GP clinics to enter digitally just what the Doctor ordered! And the printed embellishments we used on the business cards really added the WOW! factor. Check out our stories to see how they shine!

Innovations in digital publishing are also opportunities for us to try new things in how documents are read. The design of Queensland Mental Health Commission 2018-19 Annual Report allowed us to boldly integrate colour and their contemporary logo graphic, as well as visually link to their other strategic documents.

14.01.2022 We had such a great time collaborating with the fabulously responsive and receptive @qld_mhc Marketing & Comms team on their new Strategic Plan branding The vibrant colour palette we developed was spot on! And we all loved how the painterly effect we came up with worked so well in our design. During the initial design briefing, QMHC presented us with a collection of artworks produced in art therapy workshops. Each artwork was a colourful, abstract, multimedia expression, as diverse as the individuals who created them. And they provided the key to the design solution we were after! 06.01.2022 Happy Friday Salty friends! // This is the final post for our QMHC branding series. See the full story on the blog! ...Its so great seeing how we evolve and finesse a brand through the design process from initial concept through to the finished printed result all produced right here at Salt Design! The painterly graphic element seen here on the QMHC pullup banners is the very essence of the QMHC Strategic Plan visual brand. We have since used this same graphic in a variety of branded colour schemes which creates such cohesive unity between the different collections of resources, ensuring strong brand recognition for the organisation.

04.01.2022 A visit to @qagoma // We were fortunate to visit the Below the Tide Line exhibition at GOMAs Childrens Art Centre earlier this year. Created in conjunction with the Water exhibition, the artists @erubarts, Marion Gaemers and @lynnettescreate created a spectacular sculptural underwater space, out of ghost nets. The exhibition raised awareness on how we can help reduce plastic pollution in the ocean {a place dear to our hearts} and join together to take action about this problem. Children were able to write a response and add it to the exhibition.

04.01.2022 When the most part of your professional creative day is spent staring at a computer monitor, the joy of getting hands-on using natural fibres and creating bespoke organic baskets provides a much-loved escape. During the recent self-imposed home-time weve thoroughly enjoyed making all kinds of wonderful creations. Hopefully we will make time to continue these pursuits once the confinement rules are relaxed!

White space is also pure gold to us for report design. Uncluttered, well-considered page layouts give content the space to truly capture and hold the reader's focus.Add full page images and the result is awesome!
