09.01.2022 Throwback Brow Thursdays . Has anyone else been dreaming about their next eyebrow wax and tint appointment? We have! . While we do not recommend trying any at-home brow waxes (as we can not guarantee their quality), we understand there are times (like the present!) where you may wish to give your brows a tidy up at home to see you through until your next appointment.... . Here are our tips for tidying up your brows at home: . - Before tweezing, cleanse your brows. This will remove any oil, dirt and makeup. We suggest using your usual cleanser or micellar water for this. After the brows have been cleansed, you should pat them and the surrounding skin dry. - Please only tweeze the stray hairs. The goal is always to remove only the hairs that grow well outside of your natural brow shape. The goal is to the tidy up the brow, not to reshape it. If you are unsure whether or not to remove a hair, we recommend you leave it there to avoid losing any volume unnecessarily. - For those who fill in their brows with a pencil, liquid or gel; draw in your brows as you normally would and then tweeze only what is outside the shape. Again, if there is a hair close to the edge of the shape and you are unsure, we recommend you leave it there. - The angle by which you remove the hair with your tweezers is an essential step in correctly removing a hair. By angling the tweezers parallel to the hair growth you will ensure that when you pull the hair out, you’ll follow the natural angle of the hair growth. If the hair is removed at the wrong angle, it can snap and break off inside the hair shaft. This will cause the hair to continue to grow in the follicle, and will resurface in just a couple of days. - We recommend you avoid tweezing the tops of your brows, and only remove the stray hairs between your brows, or underneath them. We also advise against trimming the brows, as even if you have small scissors, there is a high risk of accidentally cutting the wrong hair. - Once you have finished, apply aloe vera to reduce the redness. . Thank you for all of the beautiful messages that we have received for your patience. We are working towards getting back to you all as soon as possible. The continued safety and wellbeing of our clients is our top priority. We have made all necessary changes to our salon’s sanitization proced...ures and have implemented several additional hygiene precautions to minimise risk as much as possible. These precautions include allowing additional time between each client, so that every station in the salon may be disinfected thoroughly between appointments. Furthermore, only one client will be allowed in the salon at any time, including the waiting area.
