This is a donation only point and not cash for containers. You will be donating for the advancement of the community gardens. At this point I think they are only open Sunday Mornings.

07.01.2022 Greenbatch is now starting a Community Collection program and we are hoping someone in Ellenbrook/Aveley may have or know of a local business or individual with space to allow the community to drop off their plastic bottles and bottle tops. Greenbatch will provide the cage and bags and then collect regularly, they just need collections booked in when the bags are full Please let us know and we can provide details. Thanks so much for your help. We will continue to collect steel and aluminium lids (less than 5cm wide) in the shop now that Simsmetal has re-opened to the public.

06.01.2022 Our dental and texta recycling are done through TerraCycle programs. On top of that, what we send to TerraCycle earns points for a supported charity of our choice. This year we not only saved a lot of pens, textas and dental products from landfill through this program, we also donated $141.50 to the WA Conservation Council with the points we earned. Well done Saltbush Community!

03.01.2022 Plastic Free July begins! Yes, I know in recent times we have gone backwards a bit, but as this article shows, one of the most important things we can do is talk about it. When people believe others are concerned and avoiding plastic then they are more likely to avoid it as well.
