11.01.2022 This stunning Hollow Mountain (Wudjub-guyan) walk is just under 1.5 hour’s drive from Salt Creek Cottage. Once on rock, the track climbs steeply over rocky ledges and past wind-scoured caverns to a rocky summit which offers views over Mt Stapylton Amphitheatre and the Wimmera Plains. It’s suitable for fit and energetic walkers and can involve slippery track surfaces, rock hopping and rock scrambling.... From the car park, follow the sign-posted gravel track as it climbs gradually through a wide open gully surrounded by rocky cliffs. Once on rock, the track climbs steeply over rocky ledges and past wind scoured caverns to a rocky summit which offers views over Mt Stapylton Amphitheatre and the Wimmera Plains. On the weekend @salt_creek_cottage was featured in the 30th Anniversary of @goodweekendmag‘s ‘52 Weekends Away’, along with 51 other accommodation providers that we were just *thrilled* to be listed alongside It’s been a long ride since that exciting couple of days spent dreaming big dreams at Sarah Andrews' @thehostingmasterclass in Melbourne, with so many other creative thinkers, go-getters and power women ... At that point, I didn’t even have any accommodation to work on, but when this gorgeous little cottage landed in my lap after day 1 of the course (by pure coincidence!), it was almost too good to be true. And with so much work to do, I was absolutely beside myself when @marniehawson (who I met at THM) mentioned the opportunity to work with @lynda.gardener & @bellebrightproject from @inside_story_ on the property.
