25.01.2022 Hi Ladies! Finally our first post! Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing some of the dances on our page in case you are wanting to learn some of the steps. For the record, I'd just like to say how sad it was to watch myself on video and see my tuck shop lady arms in full swing (literally! ). Oh well, what can you do! Here's a couple of tips for when you're learning a dance and also about how to tailor the dances to your fitness level: 1) Concentrate on the footwork fir...st. Don't worry about your arms. And, just do the basics. Don't worry about fancy hip moves or anything like that at the beginning. 2) As you get to know the song you'll hear changes in the music and that can often be a cue to change steps. The more you hear the song the better you will know when those changes are coming. 3) Do the move how it feels most natural to you. Don't worry about copying exactly what we are doing. The only important thing is to move your feet in the right direction so that we don't crash into each other. Apart from that, have fun with it. 4) Use smaller steps if you are finding it hard to keep up with the music. 5) We will always try to show a lower impact/simpler version and a higher impact/trickier version. Just work at what suits you most. Low impact just means one foot is on the ground at all times. Higher impact involves both feet leaving the ground like jumping. 6) If you're getting tired or want to lower your heart rate while you're dancing, stop using your arms and keep your steps really basic, small and low. 7) You can increase your heart rate by doing the opposite to above (no.6), even when doing a low impact or simple version. Use big arms and really bend lower into the steps. Hope this helps!

I've posted the whole dance done to music in a separate post, so you can find it on our page if you want to look at the entire dance and hear the music first. Sorry, the sound quality of this one is not that good. Also, I didn't realise my shoes' tapping sound would be so noticeable. :)
21.01.2022 GREAT NEWS! We can start Wednesday night classes at the Mudgeeraba Showground Hall whenever we want! Please have a quick read below and feel free to get back to us with your feedback: 1) We are happy to start this coming week, the 23rd if there is enough interest, so please let us know if you're keen. Otherwise, the plan is to start the following week. 2) To spice things up a bit, we're thinking of stepping back in time and making Wednesday night's class an 80's/90's aero...bics class. I was a bit of an aerobic junkie "back in the old days" and loved it so much that I became an aerobic instructor in the early 90's. I still have my little blue book of all the choreography I used back then. Sadly, years ago I chucked out my awesome aerobics tapes (big mistake!) but I can get some great 80's and 90's music that we can groove to. As a part of the class we will also do strengthening and toning exercising with weights, and some abdominal work at the end. PLEASE NOTE: No need to wear 80's aerobics attire. PLEASE let us know if this idea puts you off coming on a Wednesday night. This class is for your enjoyment, so we are happy to do what you guys enjoy. Feel free to PM us if you'd rather not leave a comment. But, please do let us know your thoughts. For those who don't know what aerobics is: a) It's exercising to music, but doesn't really use the dance moves we do on Monday night. b)The music is non-stop! That means there are no breaks in between songs. Don't worry, though, because you can stop anytime to grab a drink and catch your breath. c) You don't have to remember any choreography from one week to the next because I teach you the moves as we do the class. d) You always work at your own level. I'll show a low impact and high impact version and ways you can slow things down or get your heart rate up.

05.01.2022 Here's our Bollywood style dance, Say Na Say Na. I may seem a little confused in parts of it. That's because I am! I had to take the video in "selfie mode" which made everything reversed. This meant I had to do the dance on the opposite foot so that it looked like the correct leg for you. Hope that makes sense! Anyway, here it is..................:)
