24.01.2022 I don't know who wrote this, but it's beautiful.. We fell asleep in one world, and woke up in another. Suddenly Disney is out of magic,... Paris is no longer romantic, New York doesn't stand up anymore, the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty. Hugs & kisses suddenly become weapons, and not visiting parents & friends becomes an act of love. Suddenly you realise that power, beauty & money are worthless, and can't get you the oxygen you're fighting for. The world continues its life and it is beautiful. It only puts humans in cages. I think it's sending us a message: "You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky without you are fine. When you come back, remember that you are my guests. Not my masters."

23.01.2022 Yes, we got hammered on the South Shore, but the beaches always return to their beautiful former selves in a month or so. The kitchen at Salt Kettle looks like Abberfeldy Nurseries, & later today Janie & I will go down to give John a hand to get all the potted plants & outdoor furniture back to their original spots. It's actually a good time to sort out flower pots that only have weeds in them!!! Thank you for all your concerns & I'll pass on your messages to John & Jane.
22.01.2022 "To our valued friends & guests" At this present time Bermuda has zero recorded cases of the Corona virus. However, this may very well change. It's uncertain times for all of us & we can only hope you are all doing what is necessary to keep safe. As a suggestion you can reach the Royal Gazette (www.royalgazette.com) on line daily to keep abreast of things. Once things have simmered down & everyone is given the "all-clear" to travel again, we hope that you will all flock to Bermuda for your much needed R & R. Salt Kettle House awaits you. John, Janie & I are all fine.

13.01.2022 Our Premier, David Burt is really doing a stellar job, at this extremely difficult time. He has certainly gone up my ladder of estimation. For those of you who don't watch Bernews, he announced last evening that Bermuda is going into Lockdown mode starting this Sat. for 2 weeks. We have, & will continue to be under curfew up until this time. Bermudians are resilient. We've had to be & even with this pandemic we are still smiling, joking, looking out for each other & treasuring this little island we call paradise. John, Jane & I are all well & we hope you will all stay healthy & safe.

03.01.2022 It's been a little while since I posted anything, my apologies. So far 2020 has been "trying" to say the least, however Salt Kettle Guest House is doing well. We advertised Stay-cation rates over Cup Match & we were delighted with the response.....we had a full house with locals as well as some visitors. Because flights to Bermuda have been reduced dramatically due to COV-19, we understand that it's literally impossible for some of you to get to us without circumnavigating the globe. All that to say we would love to see you whenever you're able to get to us.
