As someone who is currently studying Domestic and Family Violence and Suicide and Crisis Interventions as part of my uni course, today is definitely not the only day to ask people if they are ok - but it's a good day to start. Use these four steps and have a conversation that could change a life: 1. Ask R U OK? 2. Listen... 3. Encourage action 4. Check-in You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener. If you are worried about someone's safety and they don't want to talk about it, there are other ways you can help them. Call Lifeline for crisis support. 07.01.2022 I am so excited to be heading to the Isaac Region tomorrow. It will be a long 9.5-10 hour trip up, stops along the way with my 11 year old boy keeping me company and sharing the adventure.
