Saltworks is currently formulating strategy to provide ongoing assistance for our community that will be sustainable in the long term, given that we really don't know how long this will go for. We have a number of people on our database who we can contact and connect with but we are also aware of others we do not have contact details for. We want to refresh our contacts list just to be sure!... 12.01.2022 What a huge week it has been! A time that calls on our resilience, our ability to adapt and accept change, to reach out to others and to know when we need to sl...ow down and take care of ourselves. Some of our Cooking Clubs were partway through hands on courses and have had to rethink the way they work with their participants and look after their communities. Heathcote ComHouse are planning to deliver their classes on line and Eaglehawk Community House Inc have ramped up their kitchen activity as they prepare meals for their regular seniors and for others needing assistance. Thankfully our Grow Cook Share recipe collection is now accessible online! These recipes are simple, adaptable, and can be prepared for a low cost and have been designed for those that are building their home cooking skills. Perfect for a time when we are all cooking more in our own kitchens. We are starting to see the last of our eggplants, tomatoes and zuchinni. There are some great recipes in the summer section to try and if you are limited to other fresh produce, you can pretty much put anything into the frittata. Please share these recipes with family and friends who might be looking for some inspiration or need a little nudge in the direction of good self care through eating healthy food.
