Whe...n your Vet is at University, kibble companies such as Royal Canin and Hills Science Diet pay the University a sponsorship fee or similar in order to access Vet students to provide "education", offer programs, brand ambassador jobs, free product, goodie bags etc. By the time your Vet makes it to their first day as a qualified Vet, they have been conditioned to think kibble is the only thing a dog should eat. Some Vets challenge this and do post grad education in nutrition and do not promote kibble to their clients, these are usually called Holistic or Integrative Vets. 16.01.2022 Puppy Scam Alert. Not only white diamond BCs, they also have had website called RC Collies , and a few others I believe but the websites are the same.. Here i...s a story from someone very recently scammed when hoping to purchase a Border Collie puppy. The ad states their puppies can be shown but are not ANKC Reg. Hi Tull Sorry I didnt get back to you I just needed a night off this mess I saw a website that looked ok about border collie puppies for sale called whitediamondbc . Com as my dog is getting older I need another dog for my border collie who is 4 and has mates all her life. I paid for a pup and was told that they would arrange delivery which I paid for as well. 10 minutes before the pup was to board the plane I get a email from furexpress saying that I need to pay $2800 more for insurance so the pup could fly from Tasmania to Victoria. I thought this was too much with the promise of $2780 REFUNDABLE on delivery in cash they only had bank transfer no credit card facilities. The commonwealth bank which the bank details were for told me that they honestly thought this was a scam. I was also told that if I didnt pay this money I would be fined for cruelty to an animal as the pup would be put in rescue as an abandoned puppy. I didnt pay this amount but I did get pet insurance to allow the puppy to fly but they wouldn't accept this as it was not their's. I did not pay and asked for my money back for the pup which I have not heard a response to. They still have their website up to scam others grr. Please share and hopefully save others from being scammed Wendy

03.01.2022 **TRAINING TIPS** Is your dog reactive to other dogs when on lead? Leads can make a dog feel vulnerable, this can lead to leash aggression. It is extremely impo...rtant to give your dogs tools to deal with this kind of anxiety, otherwise you will not enjoy walking them, and potentially avoid doing so. Get a friend with a dog to help you out with this one, remember you are allowed to meet with a friend for exercise now. Bring a handful of chopped up hotdogs or something that has a strong smell and is very tasty (for a doggo) and back up until you do not get the reaction at first, making your way closer until eventually your dogs focus should be on you. This will not happen in one session, don't get discouraged if it takes some time.
