11.01.2022 TREE PLANTING UPDATE | We are pleased to announce a total of five mature fig trees and around 76 fig tree cuttings will be planted to replace a cluster of sev...en fig trees to be removed from the Cumberland Precinct and three at Robin Thomas Reserve for light rail works. We are working with stakeholders to determine the best locations for the five mature fig trees, which will be the same species as those removed. The fig tree cuttings are now in the care of a nursery. You will see these planted around Parramatta over the next few years, once the trees reach above one metre in height. Transport for NSW is planting at least 3500 trees in and around the Parramatta Light Rail route.
