Whilst it is disappointing for us as a grower and producer of high quality #extravirginoliveoil and many of our very loyal customers, that we have completely sold out of our 2020 season extra virgin olive oil due to a poor harvest and high demand, we are super excited that nearly all of our olive trees are absolutely loaded with fruit. We hope to be able to re-fill our oil tanks and also replenish our fast dwindling table olive stock. W...e are looking forward to taste the new season oil by mid May. Our blend of Frantoio, Manzanillo and Kalamata oil, we are sure will not disappoint. It will be available from about mid June. 20.01.2022 A few years ago when we had a Locus plague and lots of farmers used pesticides to spray against them we also lost most of the wild bees. We used to have at least 50 bees on every olive tree flowering before that time. The year after the locus plague we had NONE!!! Luckily most olive trees are self pollinating plants, so we still enjoyed good harvest yield but it was sad seeing that the bees were killed in that event. It has taken about 7 years to slowly rebuild the wild bee p...opulation which lives in the adjoining land belonging to #parksvictoria. It is great to see that nature will fight back if you give it a chance. Today we walked into the grove and there was a loud humm of bees feasting on the pollen of the flowering olive trees.
