22.01.2022 Thanks to one of our beautiful volunteers Suzie, we have 2 hanging baskets out the front giving a welcoming cottage feel. Happy birthday celebrations were had for 2 lovely volunteers Angie and Sharon. Our volunteer Julie makes wonderful handmade cards for $1.00 each and the proceeds from the cards and Suzie's succulents go to bushfire relief. Come check us out at Merimbula Salvos

We are in need of donations on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays the days we are open. The community is still rebuilding after the fires and Covid. Please if U can we need saucepans, frypans, baking dishes, cutlery, household bric a brac. Homewares. Small furniture although we are unable to pick up furniture ourselves ATM. 15.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement during my time as manager at the Merimbula Salvation Army Family store. I have recently retired and look forward to traveling, spending more time with my grandchildren and a more relaxed life on my farm. In 2011 I started as a volunteer at the Merimbula store going on to be a manager in 2013. Many years of happy times and friendships formed with the Captains, volunteers and customers. My gratitude to the team of 35 wonderf...ul volunteers who have been invaluable bringing energy, care, love and a positive vibe to the store. We are currently appointing a new manager to supervise the store. I will keep you posted when this happens as I am sure everyone will be most encouraging and welcoming. I hope the new manager will continue with this page to keep everyone updated with the specials, sales and happenings at the store. 15.01.2022 Hi to our beautiful community. We have been through a lot since the bushfires and now the corona virus. It is a tough time for all but we will pull through as a community. Leave no one in need and help each other. The Salvation Army has done an amazing job through the bushfires and now we need help with our digital doorknock for the Red Shield Appeal 2020. Your donations stay in the community so please give what you can. I know its difficult but we need your support as the community needs support more than ever. 10.01.2022 Hi Merimbula and the Bega Valley. Your local Salvation Army will need your help in the coming weeks with our Red Shield Appeal online donations. It's a tough time for everyone going through the bushfires and now the Covid 19. We are resilliant and as a community we help each other. This year our appeal is to help the Salvos leave no one in need. Please help by giving what you can to support women and children escaping domestic violence. 01.01.2022 Happy weekend everybody. We are open again and hope to stay open now. Doors open 10-3 Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. The shop is looking great but we need your help. Looking for volunteers one day a week to sort donations, help with shop displays, customer service counter staff. It's a fun environment, lets you be creative and learn new skills. Anyone over 18 can register - learn skills to help you apply for jobs, gets you out and about having fun with our already wonderful volunteers. And the best part is shopping while your volunteering. There are no pickups or deliveries of furniture at this point in time. We are accepting furniture donations if you are able to bring it to the store. To all our volunteers please stay safe and well.
