We offer our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. South Australia lost a favourite son last night. Too soon! Keep the amps warm till we get there Pep.

16.01.2022 Vale Julian Bream. I remember buying his records second hand in Twin Street in the early 80’s and marvelling at his tone. I think it was he that steered my interests towards John Williams and then on to Paco de Lucia and inevitably the power trio that made Friday night in San Francisco. A great output. A life spent in music.

15.01.2022 A wonderfully nostalgic read for me. I cut my teeth in Denmark st (as many of you already know) during the halcyon days of the mid '90's. I worked for Cliff Cooper, who gets a good run in this story. What an amazing time :)

04.01.2022 I first heard EVH at 13, sitting at a friends table listening to guitarists he had on records instead of being at school. Of course it was VH1, it was ‘Eruption’ and I understood immediately what synesthesia probably felt like. Those notes! The energy! The blistering tone that set off a series of fireworks in my head that I’ll never forget. In the end, I think I transcribed all of the 1984 album and a hodgepodge of other tunes pre-Hagar.
