12.01.2022 The cost of a smile isn't much, although many people act as such. We all have our problems of struggle and strife, but a smile will help in anyone's life. There are so many troubles in this modern time, ... so add in a smile; it won't cost a dime. Cranky people are easy to find, but it feels so much better being kind. Frowning people are everywhere, but a smiling face is a gift to share! You just might need that smile someday when things in your life feel sad and gray. If there's one thing we all need once in a while, that is the sight of a beautiful smile! See more

04.01.2022 As I sit here all alone admiring the view of an early sunrise, I tilt my head back and close my eyes. A soft gentle breeze crosses my face. I look around and enjoy the quietness of God's peace and the soft gentle pace. The trees are in full bloom, the leaves ready to fall.... God's beauty of earth, I admire it all. As the sun comes up and begins a new day, I sit here quietly and begin to pray. Dear God, I begin to say, please watch over my life and keep me safe. Give me hope and show me faith. Guide my path and let me know you are near. Allow me to be strong and filled with love, for love conquers all fear. A gentle breeze crosses my path and gives me a slight chill. God answers and says: I am with you still. I've never left you alone or threw you aside, I am in your heart, I will be your guide. I will show you the way to master life's difficulties and trust your heart, For I am with you now and forever, I shall never part. A gentle breeze I feel again, I know my prayers are answered, God has heard my plea. He has pointed this out for me to see. Life has many surprises each and every day. We cannot live on regrets and sorrow. Once again I feel a gentle breeze, which means God is saying: My child, there is a tomorrow: The sun will shine once again, the birds will continue to sing. Memories will last forever, and enjoy life anew today, and all that it may bring See more

03.01.2022 NATIONAL MEALS ON WHEELS DAY RECOGNISES OUR OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEER FORCE AND THEIR RESILIENCE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC We are pleased to share that today is ...National Meals on Wheels Day! When the first COVID diagnoses came to light, many Meals on Wheels volunteers aged 70 and over were recommended to self-isolate for their own safety, while younger volunteers stood up to support their communities. National Meals on Wheels day recognises the outstanding contribution of our wonderful volunteers, who ensure older Australians remain nourished and safe at home every day. It has been an uncertain last 12 months, with bushfire devastation and now COVID-19. We offer gratitude and thanks to all of our 35,000 volunteers in NSW, and the growing band of individuals and organisations that have come on board who continue to support us. Their efforts have made us stronger and more focused than ever, and today we celebrate their contribution to our service. Eating well helps people to age well. Each year, more than 100,000 older Australians are supported to eat well by delivered meal programs such as Meals on Wheels, which is a proven, effective solution that provides benefits to the consumer, health and aged care systems. Our volunteers are the backbone of Meals on Wheels. They assist us to nourish communities both nutritionally and socially on a daily basis, and they form part of one of the most gratifying volunteer programs in the world. We actively encourage wellness and choice as living at home independently is precious. We have assisted generations of Australians in NSW since 1957, and will continue to do so for many more. To all of our Volunteers, we thank you for your dedication and support. See more
