25.01.2022 The problem of homelessness in our area is pervasive and we see the effects of it daily Today, we had a couple of young women come in. They were friendly and chatty but sadly, one had been assaulted last night and tge few belongings she had were stolen. Whilst the sense of community amongst those finding themselves homeless in Logan is strong, it is not safe. After a hot lunch, it wasnt long before,(one in the massage chair and the other on beanbags) they fell asleep Tha...nkful that they feel safe here and can get the rest they need We have 3 people out to it atm...tempted to join them See more

21.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: The annual migration fo Salvo officers has been announced and the Barkmeyer family are on the move. After 8 years in Logan, we are moving to the roles of Support Officer for the division. Whilst we are greatly saddened to be leaving this wonderful community, especially our amazing team, we are excited at the prospect of supporting the frontline of Salvo ministry in Qld. This change will come into effect 13th January. Excited for the future of Gods work t...hrough the Salvos in Logan, knowing that Anthony and Vanessa are going to further His work in Logan with their own unique passions and gifting. Covering them, their 4 beautiful kids and the ministry in prayer We will miss you each, miss working alongside you and doing life with you but know you will be in our prayers. 20.01.2022 We were blessed with another full day today. Odetta had something if a Connect 4 (board game) with a visitor, free haircuts were as always, a winner and our communal jigsaw puzzle is starting to take shape. The numerous people contributing to itscoming together goes to show we have some very patient people in Logan. Lunch was the good old sausage sandwich, the aroma if which filled our centre making our hungry mouths water. Every day begins with sharing devotions as a group and giving purselves and our day over to God. 18.01.2022 Thanx Odetta for organising a fantastic time of celebration. We joined as many cultures forming one community, learnt about one anothers cultures, enjoyed some food, photos, dance, and cultural exhibits. Best of all, we celebrate being one community, working together for The continued betterment of Logan. Thanx to Uncle Barry for welcome to country and to Captain Ashley for lifting the day to God in prayer as well as the presenters and our team of hard workers. And again, Odetta, you are amazing.

18.01.2022 William Booth always believed you couldnt easily convert anyone who was more worried about their stomach or cold feet. He also believed feeding and housing was... an aid conversion. Yes we are Saved to Serve but primarily Saved to Save. Pray for those who need the Lord tonight may they find Him in their hearts.
