25.01.2022 We desperately need YOUR HELP. This weekend is our annual Red Shield Appeal and with me being in hospital, it ain’t easy. Our teams continue to help when others find it difficult to do so. We do this not for self notoriety but because of others. Any financial donation you can make will be used to help people eat, clothe, house and rehabilitate people in the community doing it tough. You never know, you may be in a position to need help in the future. Pay it forward as others have done for you.

20.01.2022 There will be no church service tomorrow, Sunday 27th December, 2020. We encourage people to share in fellowship with their families.

19.01.2022 This is why we say, don’t make donations out of business hours. We now have to take people off of what they were doing to help the community for Christmas assistance to deal with this. It’s been raining which means we can not use any of it.

16.01.2022 It is with a deep feeling of sadness that due to issues beyond their control, that the D.C.'s will not be able to join with us tomorrow in Mackay. We will endeavour to utilise technology for them to be able to be apart of our meeting via Zoom.

13.01.2022 Our Family Stores in Rural View and in the City operate with the best intentions towards assisting the community. We value your donations and patronage. We would welcome new volunteers to assist; even if it is only 1 or 2 hours a week. That would be a great help. As second hand stores we do have to vet donations according to the governance of such items as well as comply with Covid-19 handling restrictions. We can not accept items left at the doors outside of operating hour...s. Please, do not leave items at either location. As second hand stores, they can not provide any warranty or guarantee's. To that end we can not give refunds for any purchase.

11.01.2022 I’m still in hospital folks. Please pray. Captain Steve

09.01.2022 Thank you Mackay! The generosity shown this Christmas time has been astonishingly astounding! We have never seen so many gifted toys - by the truck load, food hampers, gift cards and financial donations. We can comfortably say that in the four years we have been here, this years Christmas appeal has eclipsed those of 2017/2018/2019! ... With the various toy appeals, along with gift cards and financial donations it adds up to being somewhere near $100,000.00! That is a massive effort at the best of time, let alone a pandemic! To see the looks on peoples faces when they receive their assistance has been one of shock and disbelief; some breaking out into tears. Our staff have been run off their feet. If we have the same demands for our services next year we will really need more hands on deck. With too many entities to name and the fear of leaving some out, we give a sincere and genuine heartfelt thanks to businesses, individuals, clubs and other agencies for their assistance this year. From the team at Mackay Corps of The Salvation Army, we sincerely say thank you. Captain Steve.
