25.01.2022 Last week the town of Builyan in Central Queensland was visited by The Salvation Army's Mobile Recovery Service to bring advice and assistance to those affected by fires and drought. The team of Salvos were joined by local officials and service providers to set up a 'one-stop-shop' for residents. We know how hard it’s been for them and we know how difficult it can be to access services. 04.01.2022 Facing two weeks of mandatory quarantine, and with five kids in a three bedroom hotel room, the Ross family decided to make the most of their time inside by starting the 'Quarantine Quest'. The Sunshine Coast family set a goal of running a collective 300km to raise money for The Salvation Army. "I think we all need hope at the moment and I’m sure that there will be many arms of the Salvos’ work being stretched with such need in communities around the world, said Nicola Ross. Each year, Salvos members and volunteers collect and sort the donated goods to make sure they get to those who need a helping hand during the Christmas season.
