Unfortunately, we will be closing 12 stores as of end of trade Wednesday 8th July. ... 14.01.2022 Like many of us, charities arent immune to the ripple effects of Covid-19, so when St Kilda Mums reached out to our Victorian team asking for assistance, we were only too happy to help. For those unfamiliar with St Kilda Mums, they do amazing work distributing donated childrens toys, clothing and so much more to families doing it tough. Since restrictions were tightened in Victoria the flow of donations usually received by St Kilda Mums was slowly drying up. Luckily, a few ...of our teams facilitating online orders in a handful of our closed Victorian shops were able to gather 38 bags of kids clothes in one week to donate to St Kilda Mums. Were so grateful to have been able to ensure these items get to those in need and want to take this opportunity to thank our donors for making this happen. Your donation makes a difference.

02.01.2022 This is The Salvation Army store in Cooma NSW. Its run by husband and wife team Sandra and Anthony who joined the Cooma mission and ministry just last year. In the months since joining the Cooma community, Sandra and Anthony have faced more challenges than anyone could have expected. They closed the store during the summer bushfires for two months while helping to provide meals and support for local evacuation centres. After reopening for just two weeks, they were again forc...ed to close as COVID-19 emerged and government restrictions came into play. And just when they were ready to open once more with COVID-19 safe measures in place, they were forced to vacate their store lease. It would have been easy to throw in the towel, but not Sandra and Anthony. They picked themselves up and thought outside the box, setting up a new pop-up store in the function room of their church, and using their shed as a warehouse. The physical store is now open three days a week and things are starting to pick up again. Excitingly, they have also been able to partner with Salvos Stores to begin listing items for sale online. Anthony turned his office into a space for online listing and now says his new position description includes Corps Officer, Store Manager and Official Photographer.
