24.01.2022 We are so grateful for this tremendous effort and thank God for all those involved

24.01.2022 In these days of uncertainty, we encourage you to learn to pray

24.01.2022 Great to see collaboration happening between Hume Council and the Salvos. Craigieburn Salvation Army has received a $25,000 grant from Hume City Council for its emergency relief services. The money will be used to help families in Craigieburn and Sunbury who are doing it tough because of COVID-19 over the next six months. Great work friends.

23.01.2022 Today we received word that Lt. Colonels Bruce and Deb Stevens, our Divisional Leaders, will be transitioning out of their divisional leadership roles to take up new appointments within The Salvation Army. We will be forever grateful to Bruce and Deb for the pioneering work they have lead in the establishment of the first Salvation Army Divisional Command for the State of Victoria. Pictured below, enthusiastically welcoming us to the newly established Divisional Headquarter...s in 2018, Bruce and Deb have maintained their enthusiasm and drive and have set for us all an example of Christ-like leadership characterised by their love for others and a deep desire to serve the people of Victoria. Bruce and Deb will formally conclude their appointment as Divisional Leaders of Victoria on 12th Jan 2021. I know that Bruce and Deb would appreciate your prayers as they prepare for transition in the coming months.

21.01.2022 The Salvation Army was founded on this day in 1865, ie. 155 years ago. The Salvation Army in Australia declares that, Wherever there is hardship or injustice, Salvos will live, love and fight alongside others to transform Australia one life at a time with the love of Jesus." Check out this glimpse of our international mission, set against the background of William Booths famous call to action

21.01.2022 How wonderful is this?! Thankyou South East Tasmania Salvos!

20.01.2022 This is George Floyd who sadly lost his life this week in the US city of Minneapolis. The Salvation Army Australias values include this statement - We commit ourselves in prayer and practice to this land of Australia and its people, seeking reconciliation, unity and equity. May that theme echo throughout the world remembering all are valued equally in the sight of God. #GeorgeFloyd

12.01.2022 #NAIDOC2020 - Sharing essential stories through art Beginning Sunday, National NAIDOC Week 2020 is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate the rich... history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing living cultures on the planet. Encouraging creativity and the sharing of stories around country, community and culture is the focus of a dedicated creative art space at The Salvation Army Doorways Hub in Katherine, 270km south of Darwin. Artist Aunty Janet Dreamer said she has been painting since she was in her teens, but it is only through the access to supplies the hub offers that she has been able to start again. "I love to paint birds and kangaroos, anything from the bush, and especially if it's good tucker," she said. To read more about the art hub, go to: https://fal.cn/3boD4 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOCWeek2020

01.01.2022 As renewed stage 3 lockdown measures come into place in Victoria, we pray for all those effected by COVID-19: for the police, The Salvation Army Emergency Servi...ces (SAES) and The Salvation Army teams offering welfare and community support. The Salvation Army was asked to help with the coordination of support in the towers. The teams have extensive experience and pre-existing support relationships with the residents, so The Salvation Army teams were able to coordinate services and act quickly. May God bless all their efforts See more
