This book uses a delightful playfulness to capture the poignancy, the hope and the truth of this experience for many of us through this Coronavirus pandemic, and will become a treasured capsule of life in 2020. For leaders who are currently running online kids' program (either through zoom or youtube), we are excited to tell you that we obtained permissions to read all of Patrick Guest's books within TSA (closed groups on...ly). https://www.patrickguest.com.au/books/ Patrick also provides us with some Teacher's notes/ lesson plan if we are planning to use his books for reaching out our children. They are available at Salvation Army Supplies (trade) in Melbourne (Blackburn) for $25 each. They are available in Adult sizes (Small up to 5XL) in both Black and Navy. There are kids sizes too. Stockport Citadel in the UK are spearheading a Salvo challenge to Wish the World a Merry Christmas and they need as many voices as possible! Record your child singing along to the provided backings of Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas and send it in to join the worldwide kids’ choir. (A signed Parent Consent form must also be provided in order to include your child in this project...). Charlene was born in the Philippines and now lives on Wurundjeri Country in Naarm (Melbourne). She is the Director of Surrender Co. She is also the Multicultural 2nd Gen Youth Coordinator with the Baptist Union of Victoria. She has a youth work background, having previously worked with Scripture Union Victoria in schools ministry for over a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Youth Work) and is currently studying theology at Whitley College. She is passionate about seeing the church flourish in cultural diversity, and seeing young people and emerging leaders discover and develop their gifts and skills for the service of their community.
