25.01.2022 An update i was very lucky the footpeg missed everything vital but went right in to the bone then out halfway before ripping out but thankfully it ripped between 2 muscles not through one so best scenario for such an injury .thanks so much for all the comments of support and humour it is humbling that so many thpusands of people care to stay in touch with my situation and so many kind remarks . Im actually in good spirits snd hungrier than ever to finally show what i can acheive.on a superbike i was so confident we had hit the sweet spot just in time for race 1but unfortunatey we will never know , next year ! Thanks again to you all for the support.

23.01.2022 This beauty just worked it was amazing how little we had to change to achieve very competitive lap times cant wait for next weekend

22.01.2022 The 4th round of the ASBK championship has been run and won, held in my old home town of Darwin. Attached are some photos from the weekend featuring my brand new custom RICONDI kangaroo skin race suit - thanks Smarty. I'm sorry to those who have been waiting for posts over the weekend but we have been flat out! It all started to unravel when our suspension tech was called away to Spain days before our flight to Darwin. Everything was turned on its head and we have chased our... tails all weekend. We had an absolute shocker! We had a new Kawasaki ZX10RR set up originally for a much smaller rider with a completely different riding style. Without the experienced Kawasaki suspension advice we knew we were in trouble!! So Dad and I tried every trick in our very limited Kawasaki knowledge and completely tuned a beautiful bit of equipment to a standstill. I can honestly say I have never had to ride so damn hard to achieve such slow times, it was frankly embarressing and I would like to apologize to my supporters and sponsors for such an absolute failure of a weekend. The one time I decided to push past the limits is pictured in the gravel trap (below)thankfully in Q2 not the race but doing times nearly 2 seconds a lap slower than my PB..frustrating That said the weekend was made bearable by 2 great guys. I would like to thank my good friend Jonathan Pillington from Top Tune Motorcycles for doing a last minute mercy dash to weild the spanners and Oli Stjelja for helping out in the pits and for helping me drive back to Qld. Thanks to the Dunlop boys for their efforts, our poor result is no reflection on the tyres they were great. Stan from Eprint for the fantastic grafix the bike looks amazing . The local media were fantastic and were right behind me but unfortunately I was unable to show what I could do. We are now having to make changes going forward to prevent this from happening again. It wasn't all bad we had some good banter in the pit it was great having Jon and Oli working on the bike. Looking forward to the next round. 20.01.2022 Im happy to report that im healing quickly and so its time to see what my femur did to the footpeg it bent the carrier the quickshift rod and slowed the impact on the ground of the right side of the bike to a slow lowside crash ..gotta take the positives . Now we are just getting the bike ready for some Dunlop tyre testing hopefully late this month back in Darwin .It was such a shame we couldnt show what we had finally worked out through qualifying at the bend circuit ....there is nothing wrong at all with the tyre it just took us time to find a setting that suited me and would last the distance, i want to get a head start on that in Darwin. Rehab on the leg is going great thanks to Kate my rehab specialist and mum and Dad (genetics). So im way further down the recovery road than i expected. Thanks for all of the messages of support there were too many to keep up with early on when i was under Meds, it was amazing.ill keep you all updated See more

20.01.2022 No its not a tanning bed ,but i will be spending a fair bit of time in one of these beauties over the next few weeks. It is a hyperbaric chamber, and i have used one before to speed up my recovery from collar bone surgery and it worked a treat. The massive soft tissue trauma from that footpeg is going to respond well to time in one of these devices. I'm pushing to get back training as soon as possible and back on a superbike soon.thankfully both championships have a decent b...reak now before the next round so im doing everything i can to be in top shape in time. 19.01.2022 For those who havent worked it out yet there have been some big changes to our plans for 2018 and beyond. Thanks to MV Agusta Australia & New Zealand an opportunity to develop and race what has been my favourite middle weight bike since I had the good fortune of riding the MV F3 675 For Dave Tysons Tsing Tao MV Agusta team in the UK . This latest deal has happened in a great hurry and Alan from Urban moto imports the importer of these works of art managed to find me a 2018 bi...ke despite them all being sold before they arrive by boat. It's fantastic to see such passion and excitement from Alan and his team. The bike is bone stock and it was amazing today at Lakeside as shown in the video. We will be competing next weekend at Lakeside on a very standard motorcycle with only a few bits that are expected to turn up next week .. cutting it fine but we will get there. We will compete in selected rounds in 2018 testing for 2019 cant wait . Thanks to #TeamMoto Springwood , #Billettaimports, FUCHS Silkolene Australasia, #Ricondi See more

The DID gold 520 chain conversion could finally go ahead again chain thanks to Ficeda and super light alloy sprockets thanks to Billetta Imports. You could stare at that bespoke Ti exhaust for ages the Q...uality is amazing. Just waiting on race glass it's worth the wait for Carbonin awesome quality and very light.photos will follow as soon as they are painted and fitted. We would also like to welcome Fuchs silkolene Australasia for a much valued continuation and increase of their support for 2019 with supply of high end lubricants FUCHS Silkolene Australasia See more

18.01.2022 Conclusions from my ASBK official test at the newly constructed 'The Bend ' race circuit and what a venue! Its still being completed around the outside of the circuit and is a fantastic track to ride. The attached timing sheet is for the last full session i was able to complete today for some frustrating but small reasons below . We are very encouraged by the bikes speed when setup matches the tyres, so when we get the setup right watch out!! As for the test i only had a fe...w new tyres and i didnt want to waste them on learning the circuit, so my practice bike with used Formula extreme control tyres was used all day on Tuesday. As the bike was already setup for these tyres. we made steady progress toward the top 10 but all tge time we knew that once the official Kawasaki team had worked out a good setup for the series homologated Dunlops , i had to then try and adapt the AT1race suits Zx10r practice bike to these very different tyres. The new tyres were completely different in hieght, shape and compound and unfortunately i promptly tore them to shreds in the first 3 laps and nearly crashed several times in each lap doing so. So in session 2 while we tried to work out a solution, we decided to put the old Formula extreme tyres that we had already used in 2 sessions yesterday back on the bike. By this stage the tyres were at least 50 laps old and i managed to finish the session in the top 8 amongst some rider i have admired for years with a great lap time and a total of 75 minutes left of tracktime with three more sessions, so well pleased and looking forward to the new sticky tyres. I had to bite the bullet in session 3 and test the official tyre instead of faster laptimes ,but my bike was trying to stop me. first the fuel cap failed on the out lap spraying me with fuel making me pull over and i missed most of the session . then a few laps in to the next session the replacement cap wouldnt breathe and the vacuum created in the tank stopped the bike halfway around the track wasting half the session .this left me with 2 sessions to do a days work on the setup and i was having huuuge moments almost every lap .almost 2 seconds a lap slower than my 8th placed times in the attached results . We knew it was going to be tough as my bike and the factory backed bikes are set up completely different like night and day and all the while i was struggling with this throughout the last session where i could only manage to complete about 3 laps ,other competitors started to squeeze me out of the top 10 very disappointing as i new with some new rubber on my old setup i had at least a couple of seconds i could find in the day. Thankfully Kelvin from BC performance and the kawasaki team owner is going to help me set up my bike like his bikes for the race weekend that should help massively. Thanks for all the support and well wishes now its back to making a living for a few weeks #At1racing #Silkolene #Airohhelmet #aussiesportsbikegear #GBracing See more

17.01.2022 Out on track in 10 minutes for race 1 limited preparation sees us in 7th on the grid but close enough to the front to fight for a podium .learning more about the bike everytime we go out

16.01.2022 Some photos from pit lane some showing my valued sponsors who helped afford testing back in my old home town Darwin. It was great i caught up with old friends in the local club Terra who were running the Annual 3 hour endurance race at hidden valley.the club was good enough to allow me to ride alone during the race i didnt want to compete with a team as i wasnt sure if my body would hold up or not and possibly wreck a team mates chances in the race. We were there also to... test tyres for Dunlop, and after just receiving my medical clearance i was Keen to see how the body held up. Im happy to say pretty well i could manage race distance twice in practice on Saturday, but that took its toll i still have deep bruising from the right buttock to the inner thigh from the accident at the Bend which meant the left handers (most corners) on Sunday i was standing on the pegs lifting off the seat as the pain was quite bad, (it was similar to a deeply corked thigh). This limited my session to a maximum of 10 laps each before the legs gave out from the strain forcing me to come in, but we were very happy with my times considering my best times were while i was riding standing on the pegs. So i expect to be competitive with another 4 weeks to recover further. I couldnt have made this happen without some key sponsors thanks to Chris XXX Rated Race Suspension Fuchs Silkolene Australasia Dunlop Motorcycle Tires Bonamici Australia See more

16.01.2022 The race meeting at the re-opened Lakeside Park Raceway was fantastic. It's a challenging track and I love the layout. We had realistic goals this weekend as the bike had not been fully run in and was effectively a street bike with slicks and an awesome SC Proect factory Ti pipe. Unfortunately much of our gear was still in transit from Italy so we had no reset pegs, no after market rear shock, no race fairings we couldn't use race pattern shift engine and ECU were bone stock....Continue reading

12.01.2022 Thanks for all of the well wishes. For those who havent heard i was taken out by a crashed bike from behind my bike highsided from under me and the left footpeg dug into my inner thigh just near the tackle as it flipped ,the peg went halfway deep and tore up toward my hip just missing my femeral artery and some very important components to any future Lamberts. Blood everywhere a beauuful AT1 race suit cut off me and a trip to Flinders medical centre for surgery l. Should... know more after i wake up tomorrow but what a waste we had finally nailed the setup after sacrificing qualifying to testing more ideas and i was so confident of a top ten after the warm up lap and the the first few corners im so dirtyi couldnt reward the teams hard work and Dunlop for their effort we found a great setup and couldnt prove it due to some crapoy luck. . Anyway im on crutches for 2 weeks they say and thats before they have operated and seen how much more damage was done. not happy that my 2018 FX championship quest is now so much harder. Thanks again for all of the messages. Dunlop Motorcycle Tires Silkolene See more

12.01.2022 For peope with a weak stomach look away now! this photo is of the wound in my inner thigh created by the footpeg. Dont worry ive cupped in the interest of modesty .There is a drain coming from the wound still to get rid of all of the nasty fluids coming from the wound. The surgeon did a great job and i am hoping to be allowed to fly back from Adelaide in time to visit the team on Sunday at Queensland raceway. I would like to thank the Racesafe guys and girls for looking af...ter me and for the 2 green whistles when i needed them most , and the surgeons and nurses at flinders medical centre for the great care they have given me. Im shattered i wont be riding this weekend but glad it's Robbie Bugden taking the role while i rehab like mad so i can get back on the bike ASAP. Thanks again for all the well wishes Cheers Sammy See more

11.01.2022 Its been a challenging couple of days with tyre life issues but late in the day we had some success and have found some problems in the front end that we can address that will allow me more entry and mid corner speed . 08.01.2022 Great day of testing learning the circuit. ran on scrubs (old used race tyres) all day knocking on the top ren all day. A top ten full of world and Australian superbike champions so very happy . until the last session where we finally tried some new rubber and they were tyres we had never used before on a suggested set up and it was terrible, we dont think it is the tyres but i nearly crashed 3 times in the first three laps its more likely the chassis changes made that wer...e thought needed for this sized tyre. I didnt bother going back out for the rest of the session we just sat down and reassessed our changes and we think we have got it sorted . We will soon find out in the morning. It was unfortunate missing out on that one session as it meant i dropped down in the rankings as people got faster every session. but we will fix that tomorrow See more

08.01.2022 Livin the high life of a low budget superbike racer. Got to love it. Its either a motel or a couple of tyres there is no question which is more important
