21.01.2022 New art space in Coffs Central; branding and signage by saso.creative.
19.01.2022 Not exactly new work, but not old either, we worked with Gumbaynggirr artist Brentyn Lugnan and his agent, NADA, to bring this laser-etched acknowledgement to his art and cultural influence throughout the new Coffs Harbour Justice Precinct. Brentyn/NADA supplied his original art, which we re-rendered as a digital (vector) file and then laser-etched onto acrylic, underlaid with a Tasmanian blackwood panel (courtesy Craig Brown).
18.01.2022 https://danieljeudy.com.au New website for author, Daniel Jeudy, "Sons of Brutality" There’s quite a few reasons to have a website to announce yourself, to keep in touch with customers, to legitimise your business to prospects. ... Daniel Jeudy is a first-time author getting that thing that so few first-time authors get: attention. Attention from publishers. Offers from publishers. Yes, of course, Daniel’s writing, his story, are what publishers are buying into. But a good website, a good cover design, some good social media are elements that help sell your commitment and announce to potential investors (in this case, publishers) the seriousness of your intentions.

14.01.2022 Winners of the Phantom Downunder Art Prize: The Phantom and the Australian Experience. Under-18s: This was awarded a three-way split to Shailey Brown(17) for "Smoko", Angus Fraser (7) for "Phantom Shaker"; and Anastasia Christie (13) for "The Phantom". Open Winner: John van der Kolk for "Tuesday is Washing Day".... Highly commended: Jan Paul for "Mr Walker Does Dapto", Joel Tarling for "Lord of the Jungle", and Robert Carter for "Been Tough Too Long". All of these will be on show at the Phantom Art Show at the Bunker during its Coffs Harbour leg. The curators of the show have asked that John van der Kolk's piece become part of the exhibition as it travels to its future destinations (Newcastle, Manly, PNG, Los Angeles). A reminder that all entries will be displayed in a pop up gallery of shopfronts on Harbour Drive in Coffs Harbour through to mid-April, and then will be displayed in Coffs Central until around 8 May. Thanks to all artists who took part. As the convenor (rather than a judge) I can say that the judges were thrilled with all entries, and were very positive about overall quality, interpretation and technique. While not everyone can win, I can say that there were a lot of very close calls. Pics will be published in the next couple days.
14.01.2022 We've had some great entries in the Phantom Downunder Art Prize competition, with some very, ummm, interesting interpretations of the Phantom's significance in Oz. Thanks to all entrants. Judging will be conducted tomorrow (Thursday, 8 March); there will be three finalists selected from each division and those finalists will be notified as quickly as possible so that they may be at the Opening Night party if possible. Finalists will be given free entry to the Opening Night, compliments of saso.creative and the Bunker Cartoon Gallery. Good luck. We'll post some images of entered works in the coming week or so.

12.01.2022 Small businesses missing their marks - http://www.sasocreative.com.au/small-businesses-missing-ma/ New research shows that many small businesses underestimate the importance of doing business online, either by ignoring it altogether or by misunderstanding what customers want of their website.

01.01.2022 Your logo is the cornerstone of your business's brand. It is or should be the lightbulb moment in someone's head when they ask themselves, "Do I know a ...?" If it's your logo, your brand, your business that springs to their mind, then your logo has done its job. But to do so, it needs to be memorable. And to do that it needs to be designed by an expert.
