08.01.2022 I would like to take the time to update my loyal fan base as to my recent absence from World Tour competition. It all began in 2016 in my preparation for the UCI World Championships. One of my out of competition urine samples taken during my altitude training in BC, Canada allegedly tested positive for high level Tetrahydrocannabinol use. As this is of course a mistake I have spent the last 12 months fighting an expensive legal battle in vein to clear my name while serving a ...12month competition ban. Unfortunately this ban has destroyed my cycling aspirations for 2017, to be the first rider to win all 3 Grand Tours in one year. With this all now behind me, I'm looking to the future with optimism and excitement. So I am pleased to announce I will be signing with a new team for the 2018 season. USPS has a proven track record of Grand Tour success and shares my drive to win. I have enjoyed my time racing with TLD for the past decade, but I need a team I know will support me no matter what. So I start my 2018 preparation where it all began, on the Sunshine Coast. Stay tuned for a bigger and better Sam Allen - Cyclist!!

07.01.2022 I've had a lot of haters in my time, people that didn't think I could make it to the top of my sport (Fuck u haters). But my boy Micky McKean was never one of them, I will never forget the day he sat me down after a bloody tough Saturday morning grind and said "listen mate, you've just gotta believe in yourself, forget all the naysayers, forget all the pain, if you want success you're the only one (me) in your way" then he said I was looking lean and left me be. In a pool of my own sweat asking what it all meant. Everyone raise a glass with me tonight and spill a bit for my fallen homie. Get well soon Michael McKean, my next win is for you. Yours Sammy

In all seriousness though it's always a good feeling to get off a banned list, doesn't matter if its the HELM or the UCI ahah. , (still waiting on the UCI ban, 2 more years) what even is salbutamol? lol
