15.01.2022 A LITTLE WEDDING TIP Send your invitations up to 3 months prior + include an RSVP date of 3-4 weeks before the wedding. This will give you time to follow up anyone who hasnt responded before the catering deadline. (Hopefully, you dont have to chase your guests up! But there is always that one cousin )

09.01.2022 Hi! Im Samantha, and for those that dont know me, I am the gal behind all the invitations and graphic design projects at Samantha May Designs. I am a one man band, relying heavily on my relationships with my suppliers and partners such as paper suppliers, printers, and my IT gurus. I absolutely LOVE collaborating with like minded individuals and am also a huge advocate for supporting our local Perthies and keeping biz local Some things about me - 1. I am a new Mum - 6 w...eeks new in fact. Pictured is me and my baby boy, Bodhi! Were still getting to know life together outside in the big wide world, and as you can probably see from the lack of social media posting, he is taking up all of my time currently 2. I am left handed! And a true left hander at that.. I cant hold a pair of scissors, a spoon, anything really - in my right hand. Bit unco if I have to do things reversed! 3. I am a crazy dog lady and am a previous foster carer for DFL rescue - obviously with a new bub this has been put on hold. In my time fostering I have cared for and re-homed 10 pups 4. I am one of the many haters of coriander. Yes, it really does taste like soap. 5. I hate social isolation. I was nominated by my friend and biz owner Kirsty at @kirstyhughesbrowstudio to show the face behind the business. So this is me! I know its a tough time for all at the moment and a lot of events have been cancelled or out on hold. We WILL get through this, and I WILL be here to help with any event stationery and design work when everything gets back to normal and we can be social again stay strong

08.01.2022 This paper range though @foxhillllamas have nailed it with these recycled cards - they are hand-formed with a timber mould and deckle. Once formed, they are sun and air dried. All added botanicals are sourced from Fox Hill Llamas, situated in beautiful Marradong Country, Western Australia. Talk about turning old to new!

Its easy to get caught up with SO many ideas and visions and all that does is cloud judgement and cause creative chaos (well it does for me anyway). And although I like to believe the clutter in my head is organised chaos I sometimes have to remind myself that sometimes less is more. Design with intention and focus. 100 ideas doesnt mean youre working any harder. So find your focus and roll with it
