05.01.2022 We were very sad to hear that Hasta Rai has taken gravely ill in Kathmandu. Hasta Rai, along with his son Suresh and a group of warm, generous sherpas, ensured our safety throughout our trek to Everest Base Camp last year. These brave men have been without work since COVID closed Everest in March this year. Its incredible how we keep these people in our hearts forever even though we were only alongside them for a brief moment in time. ... During this lockdown, people will only be able to leave home for essential work, shopping for essential items, medical and healthcare needs and exercise. Masks are also mandatory in Perth and Peel.... The WA Government's classification of essential workers and essential services does not include real estate, business broking and strata management services. What this means for real estate The following are not classified as an essential service and will be post-poned until the lockdown is lifted: - Home opens - Individual guided inspections - Pre-purchase inspections Movement between properties: We have not yet been able to obtain clarification from the government as to whether there are exemptions that would enable people to change their principal place of residence. Unless exemptions are released in government directives, we must assume the lockdown does not permit people to change their principal place of residence.
