25.01.2022 Really proud to announce my debut album "Shadow in the Dream" will be released Friday February 12th. Recorded by Dylan Ollivierre and Andy Lawson, "Shadow in the Dream" essentially captures ten years of work and collaborations with close and talented friends of mine. I can't wait to share it with you. Tour dates to come soon. Album art by Roger Paine

19.01.2022 One of my favourite things about recording - really the main reason I do it - is the excuse to ask people who have a great talent to share company with you for a few days. I'd been out of music for a while before the Batavia sessions, and so for much of those four days in the studio in Perth last November, I felt like a spectator in the best possible way, in awe of the people in the room. There was young drummer Jack Hill who stunned everyone with his exceptional skill but ev...en more so for his classic, old-world feel. He and Chris Chen on bass formed a sort of timeless sonic heartbeat, as if the bed of the song had been transported straight from a Neil Young record. There was Paige Boyatzis and her twin brother Kane on vocals and keys. A beautiful, freakishly talented pair. We all sat reverently when Lee Jones joined the session with his lap steel guitar. The dude is genuine great of WA music, and it is a total trip listening to him lay down a track on a song you've written. It's almost a guilty feeling. And then there was of course gifted producer Dylan Ollivierre who doesn't really belong in this century, about as passionate a musical purist as you're likely to meet. Thanks to all of you for the pleasure of just watching you doing what you do. That was a gift I won't be forgetting. Batavia is out 24.07.20 Artwork Aggie Ampersand See more

16.01.2022 I enjoyed this conversation with the ABC's Nat Browning: "It's important to remember that the storyline (that depression tries to convince a person of) about things not being hopeful is a false one, and not to buy into that when it comes" https://soundcloud.com//abc-mid-west-there-is-life-after-a

07.01.2022 "What a ray of soaring sunshine. This is beautiful; such a wonderful build and so perfectly executed. The heart in your voice, seals the deal. Swoon" - Zan Rowe, Triple J. Excited to say that "Batavia" is out in the world now
06.01.2022 I've been spending rainy nights sat here, playing my Dad's old Ibanez Concord, blowing off the cobwebs for my first show in a really long time. If you're in the Great Southern, I'll be at Six Degrees in Albany this Saturday the 25th of July with old mate Kris Nelson and The New Roundabouts. Love to see you there https://m.facebook.com/events/217582006036139
