22.01.2022 Completed 2 bedrooms unit @Randwick, New South Wales, Australia Due to the walls being not smooth and uneven and with different textures , a more complex prep before painting was required,consisting of using a wall texturing technique known as SKIM COATING. Skim coating is used to smooth out walls. It consists of preping the walls and then applying a topcoat compound which is then sanded to make it smooth. Followed by painting. I've heard painters saying "no need to clean the roof, paint is thick enough to cover it all'. Yes, paint is thick and resitant to outside weather conditions, but not washing your roof leaves residues, dirt, moss etc... and painting over it won't last the test of time.
