24.01.2022 Were you listening to ABC Adelaide Radio this morning? I was discussing the legislative framework which provides for the powers that enact the current COVID-19 restrictions I believe there needs to be a greater review of the powers in the Emergency Management Act during this COVID-19 pandemic. We need to ensure that the voices of our small business sector, rural and regional areas and multi-cultural communities are heard.

23.01.2022 Today is #DogsInPoliticsDay! We love when constituents bring their pets past for a visit. I wonder if Georgie thinks we should keep corflutes at the next election? Let me know your thoughts as we debate banning election posters in Parliament this week. #KeepAusPetFriendly

20.01.2022 In Question Time, I was glad to hear that the Premier will be asking the COVID Transition Committee to consider allowing gyms and fitness studios to turn on their water fountains and fans. With the weather is getting warmer, it is important our restrictions are constantly reviewed to allow businesses to provide sensible services which keep people hydrated and moderate temperatures as we head into the warmer months. 17.01.2022 Beautiful morning spent touring the new developments at Wittunga Botanic Garden. $750,000 of funding has so far provided a new bird garden area, native plants (95% from rural sources such as Deep Creek and Kangaroo Island, including endangered species), and a new lake walk trail and beach. Still to come a Nature Play SA play playground designed in collaboration with Blackwood Primary School, new park entrances and a lake viewing deck platform. ... I was glad to hear the Minister David Speirs MP announce new opening hours for the park, changing from the current 4pm closure to 7pm in the warmer months and 6pm in the winter months. Wonderful to spend the morning with Friends of the Botanic Gardens of Adelaide, Nicolle Flint Member for Boothby, Isobel Redmond, Nan Davies and the Blackwood Action Group. I am looking forward to this draw card bringing new families to our great area.

17.01.2022 Do you want the Adelaide Parklands listed as a State Heritage Protection Area? The Parklands and Squares of Adelaide are a unique characteristic for our city that provide essential green spaces for both us and nature to enjoy. I was pleased to hear the Minister David Speirs MP reiterate the State Government's commitment to protecting these spaces and that the City of Adelaide are undertaking a potential listing bid to UNESCO World Heritage.

08.01.2022 Supporting South Australians living with Epilepsy has long been a passion of mine. Whilst I was delighted when the State Government announced its support for a pilot into using medical cannabis to treat children with Epilepsy, we have seen little progress. This trial will provide much needed certainty for families and the community. On their behalf, I asked the Parliament to provide a timeline for the rollout of this important medical research. ... https://youtu.be/WIXL6MLAbIU #epilepsyaction
