14.01.2022 Incredibly humbled and grateful for the honour of being named in this year’s 40 under 40 Most Influential Asian-Australian Awards as the Community & Advocacy / Not for Profit category winner. As an Asian-Australian it can be sometimes hard to imagine yourself in a position of community leadership, I really hope to use this opportunity to give others the confidence to ‘have a go’ at working on social issues that they are passionate about. I also recognise that I’ve been abl...e to commit to my passion for social change because of I’ve had the support from my family and friends, been the recipient of a great Australian public education, and have also received the support from mentors and families from the community. I hope that the opportunities for everyone to ‘have a go’ and contribute to the improvement of life for all Australians will become more equal as we move into the future. #asianausleadership See more

04.01.2022 Hi everyone, This year has certainly been interesting and like most small businesses in the community, we have not been able to do anything we had planned. The ...board of Jack's Butterflies is using this time to reevaluate our mission and vision, revenue strategy and our goals. While we have two rare parents on the board, I don't want our voice to be the only ones heard. So I would like to hear from you. If you are a rare parent, I would love your input. I am putting together a list of 4 dates (for now, if more people register, then I will add more dates) to hold a video call with up to 10 people in each call. We can talk about the struggles your family faces, what areas of support you currently receive (that are working - if someone out there is doing something well, we don't want to double up, that would be a waste of resources) and what types of support do you think your family would benefit from? I will talk about my why and how I started Jack's Butterflies and what my hopes for the future look like. By the end of each call, I hope to compile a list of ideas from other families to take to the board so we can make sure we are shaping an organisation that families need. If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call on 0456782092 or email [email protected]. Keep an eye out as a registration link will be posted by the end of this week. Look forward to catching up with as many of you as I can. Rachel XX
