She interprets these in a contemporary and narrative style. These influences form the basis for her detailed, stylized images. From Europe, where oil painting had a significant impact, to Canada, where life drawing became a new venture. Margaret then settled in Australia, where water colour originally predominated her work. Following a relocation from South Australia to Queensland, Margaret returned to portrait studies. Stella’s polychromatic, architectonic constructions float and collide, hug and repel, allowing geometric narratives to unfold between colours and shapes. 07.01.2022 ONLINE ARTS TRAIL FEATURED ARTIST: JENNI MEEK Having enjoyed art at school and many crafts in the intervening years, my passion for art has only been reignited in the last 10 or so years. While having no formal training, I have attended art classes with several local artists as well as several workshops in acrylic inks and watercolours. I enjoy mixing up the techniques that I have learnt and adding different mediums and objects. The inspirations for my work comes from the mu...ltitude of patterns and colours in nature. I use a bright colour palette and aim for my paintings to be colourful and uplifting to the viewer.
