24.01.2022 Interesting steam weed treatment being provided by MBRC

16.01.2022 Samford Landcare held a planting day today and it was a great success so thank you to everyone who attended. We put into the ground over 150 plants and in the many years to come these will grow into fine trees and shrubs. Today certainly has been a very important day!

15.01.2022 Change coming in November20 to Cash Avenue South, just before the pedestrian walkway starts..

15.01.2022 As part of the continuing works program at the Cash Avenue site, today a number of Slash Pine trees were felled. A number of these trees were dead and with the risk of branches falling, it was good to see them down. Classed as a weed (albeit big ones!), the removal of these trees means we can move further forward and where possible, we will seek to recycle the timber as much as possible to benefit the site area...

14.01.2022 Please sign this petition to ban this noxious weed. The pictures are of the juvenile floating form & the adult form rooted into the bed of the South Pine River.... The adult form can grow to a density of 2000plants per square meter (Photo credit Peter Storer) https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au//petit/petition-details See more

13.01.2022 Today Saturday 24 April we will be starting the planting out of the street side garden out the Samford Scout Den at Cash Ave North from 2.30-5.00pm. So if you’d like to help us do this on such an amazing Autumn Day, please come along between those times and wear protective clothing, covered in shoes, gloves, planting tools, your refreshments and food. From 2-00pm to 2.30pm we’ll be holding a general meeting in the Scout Den so if you are interested in Samford Landcare then come along. (Pictured are some of our plants sourced from the wonderful Kumbartcho Nursery)

08.01.2022 Samford Landcare has now a public information sign on the new garden project that we are soon to commence with Samford Scouts in Cash Avenue North. Currently the garden is in the planning stage and it will contain many examples of native plants that we can all plant within our Samford community.

06.01.2022 This is exactly what we'd all like to see more of along Samford Creek https://www.facebook.com/100001778507137//3286520101417241/

01.01.2022 Hi and welcome to the Samford Landcare Facebook page. You may have read about Samford Landcare in the Village Pump so you'll know we are looking for help to get our group setup and working to regenerate and conserve our local land areas, with the support of the Samford Community. You can register your interest in helping by sending us a message here, or via our website at www.samfordlandcare.square.site
