17.01.2022 Head for the hills in the heat of November, and enjoy fine art and fresh mountain air at the inaugural Art with Altitude exhibition. Open from 9am til 4pm on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of November, Art with Altitude is being held at Mount Glorious Community Hall, just a few minutes drive from Samford (north-west Brisbane). Artworks by many well-known artists from the creative communities of Mount Glorious and Mount Nebo will include a variety of media- oil, watercolour ...and acrylic paintings, sculpture, jewellery, ceramics, glass-work, pen and ink drawings, photography, fine furniture and fibre-art. With all art for sale at a range of price points, art and craft demonstrations, a lucky door-prize of artwork, raffle prizes of luxury weekend retreats and entertainment vouchers, market stalls, local cafes and rainforest walks, there is something here for everyone! 16.01.2022 Local artist, Belinda Berrington, was one of our key artists for Celebrate Samford. Check out her great school holiday theatre workshops- Green Mango Theatre is running an exciting Multi Arts Workshop over two days in the April school holidays. The workshop will cover Drama, Dance, Music and Visual Arts and will have a small performance outcome on the last day. The theme will be based on the classic story of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson and will be run by Belinda... Berrington - Green Mango Theatre and Biddy Seymour - Orff Music Specialist WHEN: Tuesday 14th and Wednesday the 15th April TIME: 9am 3pm daily ((bring your own lunch, morning/afternoon tea)) LOCATION: Cedar Creek Hall AGES: Suitable for 8-12 year olds COST: 120 gold pieces per student for the whole 2 days! 10.01.2022 How do we define ourselves as a community. Who is SAMFORD? I wouldn't say we are largely multi-cultural, some say Village, some say not. Rural-Urban Fringe? Here is a little insight into some of our living conditions. Looks pretty comfortable to me. What other factors define us or are important to you?

10.01.2022 If you are driving, we have organised extra parking with MBRC as we all know parking can be difficult around John Scott Park when it is busy. If you follow Station street you will come to the new Dog off leash park and the Arana Hills SES will guide you into a car park. The car park area will be well lit. One side of the footpath and road verge will be blocked off for safety of our lantern walkers-so please follow SES directions in this. A big thank you to the SES and MBRC for their support!
