11.01.2022 Samford Rangers player makes the Qld Team! Local lad Finley Mueller, a proud member of Samford Rangers Under 15 team, has made the Queensland Talent Support Program (TSP). The TSP program is Football Qlds’s premier Training program, providing the selection pool for the next team of Australian Olyroos. After undergoing trials against Qld’s best players, all of which stem from the representative clubs in Qld, Finley has proven his worth amongst the elite and qualified for the... A level program. James Corner, Director of Coaching at Samford, states, this is a wonderful and deserved opportunity for Finley. Supporting talent such as Finley’s and providing pathways for such players is an exciting part of our responsibility as a club. Finley ‘s mentality, game intelligence, technical ability and hunger for improvement is second to none. We want our kids to enjoy playing football locally and give them such pathways, which will give them exposure to the expertise of Football Qld’s elite coaches. We are excited to see where Finley can take his talents. Breeze Ligthart, Finleys coach stated he never stops surprising me with his improvements and consistency, the sky is his limit. A testament to both Finley and what Samford Rangers are delivering is seen through Finley’s time dedicated this year to develop the younger members of the club who have an interest in goal keeping. Perpetuating strong community within the club and encouraging interaction throughout the age groups is a key focus of the club. Having recently received a National Club Development Program award of 4 stars in its first year application, Samford Rangers are a proud member of the Samford community who are are providing opportunities for our local kids. With the womens world cup to be held in 2023 in Australia, who knows, we could see one of our local kids feature

Testament to our growth and investment, is our Under 18 Women from last Season will be stepping up and competing in the Women’s City 2 league, representing our club as our first team. An excellent bunch of young ladi...es who have been playing together at Samford Rangers as a group for several seasons, we wish them the best of luck for 2021. The other teams, no less important, that we will be fielding and supporting are our Women’s City league 3 team and the Women’s over 30 Wranglers. Samford Rangers are truly committed to grow and provide pathways for female football at the club, supported by our Junior Girls program. 09.01.2022 Message to the Tribe from Samford Ranger’s head football coach Paul Brownlie: This year, as you may all be aware of, our amazing community club has it’s marquee team competing in the 4th highest tier in Australian football!! An achievement that highlights the growth and development the commitee and members have driven in recent years. And opens development pathways for our juniors!... This new state league, is 2 tiers higher than this club has ever experienced, and we have risen 6 leagues in as many years. The challenge was set and accepted by the the club, community and players. And we are all a part of the ride! From miniroos to the over45s which mean so much to our club! For our top team and u23 FQPL2 squads, we have 5 players over the age of 23, a testament to the faith I have in juniors rising through our ranks. Currently we are seeing success all over the park from our youth set up, and I cannot thank you enough for the support you have shown on game days. Parents and players alike, you lift us! We aim to play an attacking and attractive brand of football, and I have seen both FQPL2 squads mature and develop in the 8 rounds played so far! The structure the club and future development opportunities for youth and for coaches is phenomenal! James Corner is guiding our future Ranger super stars with the beginning of the Acadamey! I am seeking to bridge the gap and ensure that juniors feel just as part of the set up as the seniors, and your support on gameday is paramount to our success! Simply put, in coming years we want as many coaches to be accredited with coaching licenses, to ensure your children have the best opportunity to learn and love the game! And one day walk out for top team wearing the mighty black and blue! The best thing with the club and the coaching staff we have in charge at Samford is that age is just a number. We believe in letting your football do the talking and if you are good enough you will get a go. Our most consistent player this season has been Tom Baresic who is currently 16 years old. We have also been using the amazing u20's this year to help pave the path way to senior football at Samford as we will have 18's, 23's and top next season, in our FQPL2 set up. Also big shout out to our sponsors. Without your contributions this level of football wouldn't be possible. This helps deliver quality home grown players to stay at the club and play for Rangers and also attract experienced players who want to take the club as high as possible. Additionally, to all the Volunteers a massive thank you to all. Samford is a wonderful club with so many smiling faces in and behind the scenes. With out you all we wouldn't have such a succefully run club.

03.01.2022 Mooeys Juniors Team Report Under U12 Girls Div 2 Saturday 12th September at 12:00pm With a record of 3W:4L, the U12 Girls are certainly proving that age and size are not everything! Most of our girls are just turning 11 this year. But thanks to our veterans Sadie, Jennifer and Georgia, at least some of us match heights with our opponents. As this is our first year together playing in an all-girls team, the future looks very bright!! Especially after Brylee recovers from h...er knee injury - wow! We have missed her!!! Our novice goal keeper, Arkie, is certainly making a name for herself with no shortage of spectacular saves. However, thanks to our formidable defence of Lily, Millie, Jennifer and Georgia, Arkie frequently manages to look a bit bored. Our super mobile mid-fielders Keeley, Sadie, Charlotte, and Grace do an amazing job of stopping the ball before it gets too far into our territory. And, they are pro's at getting the ball back up the field to our relentless strikers Adaya, Bella and Lauren. This week, our girls had so much fun and enthusiasm with pink tutus and zinc cream for the Samford Rangers Pink Round for Breast Cancer Awareness! And, that energy certainly translated into a resounding 4-0 win over the Southside Eagles. Each week we are improving - in skills, sportsmanship, and friendship. Thank you to our amazing coaches, Andrew and Will, for their skills, time, and patience! Despite all the difficulties and uncertainties of 2020, this has certainly been a great season for us so far!
