22.01.2022 Temporary change to our SSN COVID-19 Samford Response Essential Shopping Services: Due to our current low volume of requests, our Essential Food Shopping and Delivery Services for people in isolation will now be provided on Wednesdays and Fridays only. Orders must be placed before noon the day before. This also means that our SSN COVID-19 Samford Response office (located next door to Mooey’s) will only be open on Wednesday and Friday mornings (from 7am-10am).... A reminder that we still have funding for our ‘No-Charge Shopping Service’ for community members financially impacted by COVID. For those in need of this service, please contact Barb, in confidence, on 0470 214 916. A big shout out to Craig McCabe (Anteena Pty Ltd) for providing us with free office space since March. Thank you!

22.01.2022 The Samford Support Network (SSN) is seeking a volunteer to join their Management Committee (MC) to replace a team member who has to step down from this role due to other commitments. Ideally our new MC member will have a background in communications and leadership and have good attention to detail. This volunteer role will suit someone who resides in the SSN catchment suburbs and can dedicate between 8-10 hours per week to help manage the affairs of the SSN as the Secretary ...and participate as a critical member of the team that leads the Network. The SSN is a vital part of the Samford community, is 100% community funded and seeks to support those of us who need a helping hand from time to time. If you want to help create the community you want to live in then please contact the President, Barb on 0470 214 916, for further discussion. Training by the current Secretary will be provided and all interested community members are encouraged to apply.

21.01.2022 Exciting changes to our drive service .... We are now offering our valuable drive support service as a totally local solution! We want to thank Communify for being our partner in helping to provide this service to our Clients over the last six years. It has been a fruitful and beneficial relationship. However, supporting our local Clients with local Volunteers and local knowledge is what we’re all about. We wanted to make sure that this stayed true following Communify’s re...cent audit and subsequent change in privacy requirements. Thanks to our SSN Volunteer Members, and our combination of targeted services for the local community, our Clients can continue to receive the seamless support and care that they are used to with one organisation and with the same friendly faces! If you live in our catchment area, please reach out to the SSN for any support you need. Community supporting Community!

19.01.2022 Dear Community, the SSN is working hard to continue our social outings during these challenging times. Unfortunately, we do not have enough cars which have the required 1.5m distance between driver and back seat passenger. Our outings are vital for our community members who have missed the social connections which are important for everyone’s mental health and well being. We are therefore seeking a minibus / people mover / 12-seater which we could use once or twice a week, to bring our community members to Brookside Shopping Centre and lunch /morning teas, while these restrictions are in place. If anyone can assist us with this request, please send us a FB message or email at [email protected] #CommunitySupportingCommunity
