25.01.2022 An incredible morning at Dulwich Hill station chatting about the importance of protecting the heritage of our suburbs from over-development with the help of the amazing Carmel Tebbutt!

24.01.2022 Good morning Marrickville! A great morning talking to residents about our plan to make Marrickville a home for the Arts in the Inner West!

22.01.2022 Attention all skaters and bike riders you are invited to the official opening of Sydney's best and newest skate park at Sydenham Green. PLEASE SHARE THE GOOD N...EWS WITH ANY SKATERS YOU KNOW. I checked out the new park today with Nigel, his daughter Airlia and crew from Totem Skateboarding and they all told me and former Marrickville Mayor Sam Iskandar - Labor for Marrickville Ward that this is as good or better than any skate park in Sydney. Too often, the voices of young people are ignored. I'm proud that here we have a project that they have helped design and which has now been delivered by Council. This is a state-of-the-art facility that will be used by young people not just from across the Inner west, but also the whole of Sydney. The official opening on Saturday 10 February 11am-1pm, includes a free barbecue and skate demonstrations. All welcome! Incorporating a variety of skate types including transition, street skate and a bowl, the new $2 million facility also has parking, accessible car spaces, lighting, shade structure, drinking fountain and seating. I think we can attract regular, all age skate competitions to the park and make this a real hub for Inner West kids. P.S - We still have $900k in the bank for the Callan Park Skate Park which the NSW Government has blocked for the past 2 years. I'll have more to say about that very soon.

20.01.2022 Steel Park water play park in Marrickville has just reopened for the summer & Sam Iskandar and I joined local families to open a new, fenced section for toddlers Kids of all ages can now splash & play there. Head down & check it out, TAG A FRIEND who’ll come with you.

18.01.2022 Another amazing day on Pre-Poll with Richard and Jess who have been so generous with their time out fighting for a strong and diverse council!

18.01.2022 Pre-poll is open! Make sure to come along to the old Centrelink Office at 373-383 Illawarra Road, Marrickville and vote Labor, to make our council work for you!

16.01.2022 Council last night voted to reverse a ban on dogs being allowed in inner west pubs, through a motion moved by Mayor Darcy Byrne. Council will now immediately be...gin consultation with publicans, punters and pooches to come up with a common sense system that will welcome dogs back into local pubs, while upholding food safety standards. 06.01.2022 Globe Wilkins Preschool is an Inner West treasure; promoting a culture of creativity, nurturing, collaboration and above everything else, joy. I will continue to stand with Save Globe Wilkins in their fight to save this incredible preschool.

06.01.2022 Great news for parents at Globe Wilkins Preschool!

05.01.2022 Good morning Dulwich Hill! Great chats with residents about affordable housing and nurturing the arts in Marrickville

04.01.2022 It was a pleasure to meet with the Tempe2020 Team and thanks to their hard work, learn more about the priorities of our Tempe residents!

01.01.2022 With less and less green space around our neighbourhoods, parks and open space to exercise in are becoming more and more important. That's why we're giving Sydenham Green and the basketball court in it a $700,000 upgrade!

01.01.2022 Albo understands just as we do, the importance of having a council that will stand up against the Liberal Government's overdevelopment of our area, and that will speak out on behalf of our fantastic diverse community! I'm proud to have the support of our amazing Federal Member Anthony Albanese MP.
