25.01.2022 Hi all, you are not forgotten! The Shire of Harvey has been in touch to say that the Australind hall is currently off limits, as follows: "The Shire conducted their weekly Incident Management Team meeting 20 May 2020, which included decisions in relation to the use of the Shire of Harvey’s property and facilities. As a result of this all Shire Halls, Street Stall Permits & Stirling’s Cottage Gardens hire or use, will not resume under Stage 2 conditions". ... Once things change, I will let you know. In the meantime, I am available for one on one music therapy sessions if this is appropriate to your (clients) needs (PM me). All the best and hope to see you soon, Jackie

24.01.2022 Thank you for your support of Australind Music Workshops. For now I will continue to hold these workshops each Friday. I will observe the Health department directives regarding COVID-19 and make decisions according to their guidelines. I would ask that anyone who is unwell does not attend. All equipment will be wiped over with disinfectant wipes before and after each session and hand sanitiser will be available. I look forward to seeing you on Friday and continuing to share in the joy of music for as long as we are able. Regards, Jackie

17.01.2022 Some may see just a drum. But a music therapist sees an extension of the voice. An opportunity for one to express that which may not be easily spoken,... through words. For a music therapist, a drum is a bridge. One that leads to inspiration, liberation and freedom." -Akiyla McQueen MM, MT-BC from Empyreal Essence Music Therapy What do you see?

To ensure that music remains a part of your lives especially at this time, I have videod myself playing some of the songs from our usual Friday repertoire. While I’m finishing editing, here is a quick little video with some suggestions on making your own percussion so that will you have some instruments with which to play along to the videos. Enjoy and every best wish that you and your loved ones stay safe.
