21.01.2022 It can be really difficult to stay motivated to train when "you're on your own", if you are missing our classes and struggling to stay motivated try writing dow...n a training schedule for youeself, even the kids can do this I am going to work on a monthly structure of week one - physical fitness and conditioning, week 2 Karate, week 3 sticks and drills and week 4 Tai Chi. Things will change as I go but it is a starting point and some form of structure will help to stay on track. Keep moving ! See more

17.01.2022 WE’RE BACK On the 20th July Monday night starting at 5pm to 6:15pm, there is an introduction to Doce Pares Filipino martial arts, stick fighting. Then normal Monday night lesson commence from 6:30pm to 8pm. Then on the 22nd July Wednesday night classes will commence with the junior class starting at 5pm to 6:15pm, follow by the senior class starting at 6:30pm to 8:30 pm. 12.01.2022 Congratulations David Hazeltine and well done after receiving his Shodan grading last month. A strong ending to the year for Sammyroo Karate with a small group of dedicated martial artists making the grading day happen.

08.01.2022 Sammyroo Karate School would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, a happy and safe holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year. Classes will resume in 2020 on Wednesday 22nd January and Monday 3rd February.

08.01.2022 On this day in 2009, Australia lost one of the pioneers of Australian Karate. Grandmaster Wally Szlagowski. Grandmaster Szlagowski founded Australia’s first Karate Club in the 1950’s and the country’s 3rd Judo Club. Wally Szlagowski was a great friend, mate and mentor to many people. We are left with a true legacy of Grandmaster Szlagowski throughout the tales lived by past and present members of the Martial Arts Community. The impact Wally Szlagowski has made on so many life’s will always be remembered and cherished to many.
