23.01.2022 Good morning neighbourinos. Just wanted to clear up a couple of things from comments I've seen on other local pages... some places require a membership fee to use their services, a healthcare card or proof of financial hardship, I'm not one of them (someone said I take membership fees - that's untrue) I have Sammy's Community Pantry, the other pages popping up, are other people. It's great that others want to do the same sort of thing and help people too, I just wanted to c...lear up any confusion. I started giving our locals doing it tough, food bags last year. I was buying all the food myself before it got too difficult to afford on my own. Since then, we've created an amazing community of kind hearted and generous people who have kept it going by randomly dropping off food and hopefully that continues and we can eventually move it to a more suitable premises. Thank you to everyone who has helped get it this far. With restrictions easing, I look forward to the face to face chats again soon

For any parents who are doing it tough this Christmas, if I've missed you, send me a private message and I'll add your child/children to the list I'll need the gifts by the 15th of December. 12.01.2022 To find nearby services for homelessness, food, DV, counselling, money help, drugs and alcohol, centrelink, legal... Ask Izzy is easy to use and has almost everything in one place.

07.01.2022 Decided to change my set up recently. This is how it works for our friends who need a helping hand... Take 1 of the Bags that have been made up - it has a mix of food in it (they're all pretty much the same)... Bring a spare bag with you to take what you need off the shelf so you have a little more choice of Cereal etc. And there's pads, toilet paper, tea, rice, flour, toothpaste, Vegemite etc.. if you need it If there's stuff in the bag you don't want, just bring it back and pop it in the tub next time if it's unopened and unexpired so it doesn't go to waste On days with warmer weather, pick ups will need to be in the afternoon because the sun hits my front yard in the morning so it will be too hot to leave stuff out.
