25.01.2022 I was echidna watching #echidna at Mulligans Flat Woodlands Sanctuary #mulligansflat the other day and was besieged by a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo who became a bit histrionic about me and the echidna being there. See the video at #thewildthingsofmulligansflat

23.01.2022 A day out at Bermagui never fails to impress with one of the most scenic walks on the Sapphire Coast and the most impressive gelato shop in the region. Photos taken from the coastal track north of Camel Rock. #visitnsw #sapphirecoasttourism #visitbermagui #sapphirecoastphotographers #bermaguigelatoclinic

21.01.2022 Winter in Eden. The coast has an air of serenity about it as the winds have almost dropped completely and the reflections in the water become more visble. Dusk is the time to be out to watch the colours in the sky change dramatically. #visitnsw #visiteden

17.01.2022 This photo was taken at dusk at #coogee. Photographed the after-work swimmers who religiously come to this ocean pool for an evening's dip or workout. Coogee is one of Sydney's iconic beach locations. The first photo gained an international award.

16.01.2022 These were part of a series I entered in the International Photography Awards and they gained an Honourable Mention. Photos were taken in Sydney just after a storm had passed; these teenagers were enjoying a dive into the froth and bubble much to the surprise of onlookers (myself included). They would dive in and pop up again, laughing at their shenanigans and ready to brave the next wave.

16.01.2022 Photographing the coast after a storm has gone through is a great experience and the ocean pools in Sydney are fabulous subjects. The first photo earned a Nominee Award in the recent 2020 International Color Awards in the Fine Art Landscape category. This one was taken at the #mahonspool in #maroubra. There was a lady who was trying to get into the pool in between the surges. Hmm.

14.01.2022 One of the other Honourable Mentions in the International Photography Awards was in the Micro section. Taken at Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary in winter. early mornings do pay off eventually. Photo weekend workshop coming up in November 24th and 25th 2018. Based at Mulligans Flat. 12.01.2022 This Royal Spoonbill had just finished grooming itself! Love the look. #bird_lovers #sapphirecoastphotographers #sapphirecoast #visitbega

11.01.2022 Excited. 4 Honourable Mention Awards from the International Photo Awards for photos taken in Sydney and Canberra. The first is of Australia's most famous ocean pool - the Bondi Baths. https://www.sydney.com//sydn/bondi/attractions/bondi-baths It was taken at a speed of 1/4 of a second to give the swimmers a sense of movement while the two blokes chatting at the end of the pool look sharper as they didn't happen to move (thank goodness). The slow shutter speed also softened the waves which were crashing at the side of the pool. I will post the rest of the awardees in the next few posts.

10.01.2022 Plenty of glamour at the Canberra Women in Business Annual Gala Awards Night 2018. Photographed some gorgeous gals (and a few blokes too).

10.01.2022 These pelicans were washing themselves by flicking up the water with their wings and beaks. #mallacoota #visitmallacoota #pelicans #wildernesscoast

10.01.2022 Silverton (near Broken Hill) is the town where they filmed Wake in Fright, The Slim Dusty Movie, Mission Impossible II, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and a Mad Max film. It is bleak and great for photography and filming with its old ruins and historic buildings. Photographed this old car wreck just before this storm dropped its load. #silverton #visitsilverton

08.01.2022 Spent part of the last two dry, hot summers in Canberra watching the gorgeous Gang Gang Cockatoos find their nest hollows and bring up their chicks. They all survived the bleak drought conditions.

07.01.2022 Images are of Lachie and his dog, Aslan and Judy's dog, Bella. Can offer beautiful pet portraits of your pet dog at the beach following coronavirus protocols of course.

07.01.2022 Nightfest at Floriade in Canberra was on fire on Friday night. This fire dancer twirled a ring of fire around her waist with great panache. #Floriade2018 #nightfest #visitcanberra

03.01.2022 Gundaroo fireworks are fireworks with a difference. Held in a wee country town, they are actually a trade show of firework types which get let off from 6pm to 7.50pm. The night finishes with a finale of a fabulous display of the best of Fireworks Australia's latest collection of fireworks . Great night out.

03.01.2022 Using this home stay time to run online courses for mobile phones. Having a fab time with students (one from USA!). Am so impressed with people's innate ability to be creative and to produce some awesome pics. My mobile phone photo included in this post but will post student photos soon.

02.01.2022 Dogs were isolated long before we were. Photo taken at a cafe in Coogee, Sydney. #coogee

01.01.2022 Groom me some more! These gorgeous Gang Gang Cockatoos were enjoying an early morning groom at Red Hill Nature Reserve. This image gained a Nominee award in the pro wildilfe category in the recent International Color Awards. #internationalcolorawards
