23.01.2022 If your Hyundai I40 steering column feels clunky or makes a knocking type noise when turning its very likely that the 'Motor driven power steering coupling' or MDPS has disintegrated, this small rubber part only cost's about $20 but the problem is you have to remove the entire steering column to access the part making the job labour intensive. See attached pictures below of what this part should and should not look like if you are experiencing a similar problem with your Hyundai or any other vehicle or you're just due for a service give us a call at S.A.M'S Auto Service on 02 62281632 or message us anytime on Facebook.

22.01.2022 When it comes to cars SAM'S Auto Service does it all, one of the jobs in today is to fit a street legal aftermarket sports exhaust system to a VE SS V8 Commodore, the kit we are fitting includes bigger headers, sports catalytic converters and all of the exhaust pipes required to make this V8 SS rumble. Can't wait to hear it !!! 14.01.2022 And so it begins " Project Turbo Barra 6 Falcon Station Wagon " We are swapping everything mechanical including brakes, suspension, dashboard and parts of the interior from a 385kw XR6T ute directly into a Xt Falcon wagon for one of our lucky customers. Should be quite the sleeper when we're finished. More photos to come as the build progresses.

12.01.2022 One of our jobs in for today is to replace the failed electronic door locking mechanism or door lock actuator on this Volkswagen Jetta's left hand front door. Normally you would remove the inner door trim to access the failed door lock actuator on most vehicles but not on this V.W Jetta the whole outer door skin has to be removed to access the failed part, check out the attached photo. 12.01.2022 Perfect day for a brake upgrade :) Nissan Stagea getting bigger and better Skyline brakes put on for one of our happy customers. Another one of our many talents we have at S.A.M'S. 02.01.2022 Don't forget at SAM'S we've got a courtesy shuttle service which can drop you off anywhere in Canberra or Queanbeyan and then collect you in the afternoon as well just to make your car servicing experience easier. Also, the boys have been doing a bit of in house pimping today on our courtesy shuttle vehicle by putting some bigger blacker wheels on then lowering her stance for a more aggressive look, just remember we can do this to your car as well as all the heights have been kept legal so you won't have any issues with rego or the Police :)
