09.01.2022 I have a lot to be thankful for. I have opportunities many others don't, by all rights there is no reason for me to be depressed, anxious, irritable... lonely. But I am. I have spoken about my struggles with mental health over all of the platforms I inhabit, and will likely continue to do so, as the fight never really ends. Behind the smiles and jokes of so many people lies a deep sadness and even greater frustration.... Lately I have been finding it hard to motivate myself to do as simple a task as get out of bed. Some days I barely succeed in that. That is why I haven't posted to YouTube or gone live anywhere lately. Mingled with the lack of motivation is a fear, a fear of not being "good enough" or even just "enough". Depression, anxiety, anger, all these terms serve only to hold place for the overwhelming despair that comes with knowing you have no reason to be afraid, or sad, but being so anyway. I held off posting this for a long time, I fear it will be taken as looking for sympathy, or as an excuse for my lack of engagement. It's not. This is simply where I am right now. There have been quite a few people, wonderful, caring, people, who have reached out to ask me how I am and offer support. In my current space I was less than receptive, but I appreciate that outreach more than I can put into words. I am still working, still making, and I still intend to come back to making content for my channel and engaging with all of you in the live streams I used to love so much. For now, however, I need to try and keep myself alive, and moving forward. I appreciate everyone who has and is supporting me, and to those who have shown great patience in waiting for me to fulfil promises made before this darker period. Nothing lasts forever, and even the darkness must give way to the dawn.
