24.01.2022 Part 2 - now the re-build begins. This was a unique build due to the fact that we built the whole thing, floating in mid air!! To save on time and inspection costs, I decided to build the whole thing on acro props, so I could get the holes inspected and a partial frame inspection done at the same time!! Also, waiting on trades down Phillip island presents itself with its own challenges ( if you know, you know ) Check out the tiling, beautiful Blackbutt handrail and screens on... this beauty. Special mention to @jaks_timber for producing the goods in regards to the hardwood. As you can see, once it received its 2 x coats of external grade #osmopolyxoil it definitely became a show stopper!! 12.01.2022 This is a 2 part post guys. Some very close family friends of mine had presented me with a very tricky challenge. They’d purchased a new house down Phillip island, with a balcony that hadn’t actually had council approval, which meant we had to unfortunately rip it down and re-build it to code and get the appropriate approvals and permits etc. This is the demo stage. This was a pretty challenging task, being pretty big in m2, high off the ground, and also sourcing materials and trades down the island in itself is a struggle. 06.01.2022 This was the biggest table I’d ever been faced with, and not only that, it had to travel 2 hrs away in a budget truck ( due to its size ). This one was very extraordinarily different, in that not only was it an absolute monster in size, but that also we stained it black. The beautiful herringbone feature is still present, as is the timber grain, but we’ve just completely sealed it up with some #osmopolyxoil pre stained hardwax oil. It was a pleasure to make my clients @three_...hills_225 vision come to life, and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Loved doing a table of these proportions.
