23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, it is that time of year again after last night's hail storms around Brisbane; Some useful tips to help prevent loss or damage to your property during the upcoming storm season are; 1. Check your roof for any rusted areas or fixings, gutters and other components 2. Check your gutters arent full of leaves and debris which can cause overflow and water to enter your home 3. Check retaining walls for signs of wear and tear or possible failure due to supports or degra...ded timber 4. Clean up yard and secure any items that can become flying debris. 5. High winds can blow open doors and windows that arent secured properly 6. Damage caused by falling trees is very common, do a visual check of any trees close to your home. 7. Garage doors can be affected by the high winds and can be blown in 8. Most importantly check that your insurance is up to date, this is a must do as no house can ever be 100% storm proof. Check your insurance ;policy to see if you have coverage for large trees falling onto your home See more
