23.01.2022 Congratulations to Sanctuary Lakes Juniors for a great day out at a Golf Australia's competition at Woodlands. Harrison Muller aced the par 3 5th hole hitting a 6 iron to a back pin position at 137m. Congratulations also to Taegen Dodds who won the B Grade with a Net 69, ironically beating Harrison on a count back! Well done boys!

21.01.2022 Junior Pennant update Region 1 vs Goulburn Valley Peaches Golf is an unusual game. When you have a good day, you can’t wait to get back out there, and when you have a bad day, you can’t wait to get back out there. So we drew 3-3 with Goulburn and immediately, as it was our last game, I was somewhat relieved that the season was at the end. But then something tugged at me that I wanted us to get out there next week and have another crack at a win! But alas, next week will no...t be, but it will be next year! The day started with our No 1, Tommi Wesley and our No 2 Taegen Dodds both playing against 6 handicappers. We were relatively confident, but then they went out there and shot 1 under and par respectively to put us 0-2. It was some of the most impressive junior match play I have witnessed. I hate losing but I can accept losing to such flawless brilliance! Paddy Farley was our other player that succumbed to his opponent and he will be better for the experience as these past 3 weeks was his introduction to competitive golf! Onto the 3 superstars that won and gave us a worthy halve! Congratulations goes out to Ethan Di Battista who has just grown with confidence and I look forward to him playing more regular golf next year and a little less footy (I’m looking at you Anthony haha)! Marc O’Rouke enjoyed another game for us and played brilliantly. I love his confidence as he came up to me after the game and told me he killed it out there! The play of the day certainly goes to Sebastian who won 5&4 but what made his game more impressive was that he was playing to finish the season undefeated! 20.01.2022 If you are in the Pelican Waters vicinity in January, or event better, if you want to enter this event and qualify for the 2020 IMG World Championships to be hosted at Torrey Pines, San Diego, entries close this week! This will be a very well managed and staged event and there will be a couple of Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club juniors in the starting list! Good luck all!

20.01.2022 Our juniors were at it again, this time the scene of the crime was 13th Beach, Beach Course! SLGC were well represented at prize giving of the 13th Beach Junior Open with Taegen Dodds shooting a great 81 for a nett 67 to win the U15 boys nett division by one over fellow friend and SLGC member Harrison Muller. In the boys stableford, Maksim Stojanoski and Preetish Choudhary finished second and third respectively with some great golf!

19.01.2022 It was great to see Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club so well presented at this years Victoria Boys and Girls Junior Open. It’s a 4 day event at a Moonah Links which is a brutal course. Good luck Harrison, Taegen, Joanne and Deborah. Thanks to Shaun and Kerry who kindly offered to caddy this week for Joanne and Deborah. We are blessed to have such supportive members at our club!

15.01.2022 A captain must lead from the front and set a good example! We at Sanctuary Lakes Club are fortunate to have two Junior Pennant Captains who did exactly that at this years Club Championships! A huge congratulations to Tommi Wesley who won and is The Junior Champion and Kiandra Hughes that won the clubs Lady Championships! It’s a fabulous result for all the hours of dedication that they have put into this clubs junior golf! Thank you and well done Tommi and Kiandra!

14.01.2022 The recent Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club Championships provided a fabulous platform for our junior golfers to compete in a record field for the club and showcase their development. They did not disappoint! Congratulations goes out to all juniors who committed to the four days. It’s a big commitment considering that many of the juniors play multiple sports and have several other activities. ... Joanne Tey, at the tender age of 14 is this years SLGC Ladies Champion. Its been a fabulous year for Joanne and to have her first ladies Club Champion behind her name at that age is remarkable. Jake Findlay successfully defended the Junior Club Champion title he won last year. Back to back and he is hungry for a three-peat next year. Ethan DiBattista had an absolutely smashing week taking out the C division as well as winning the Captains Trophy for the best overall Nett score across all grades. In additional to those that competed, we had several other juniors assist in marshalling and setting up the course so it was a complete effort from the junior members! We are very fortunate to have such an accomplished group of young golfers at this club

13.01.2022 Guests (young players and parents) are invited to hear what we are doing this year with regards to our Pennant teams, practice regime and selection process as well as highlight Scholarship update and announce first recipients. Open to current pennant players, those that are aspiring to play for the club and those that are wanting more information on the pathway we are creating for junior golfers at the club. Please make sure you RSVP if you are attending on the night!

13.01.2022 This is one of the best events for young golfers. You play against kids in your own age group as well as a course that is adjusted in terms of length to your age! At this stage 3 juniors from Sanctuary Lakes Club are playing! Well managed, well organised and a very fun week!

11.01.2022 It was fantastic to see Sanctuary Lakes Junior Pennant team members represent the club yesterday at Kingston Heath. Luke (25points), Jake (33points) and Taegen (36 points) scored well around one of Melbournes best and most challenging course! There are a magnitude of tournaments during the holidays and we wish our junior competitors and ambassadors of our club well in them!

08.01.2022 Junior Pennant update Region 2 vs Goulburn Valley Pears Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing! Hmmmmm. Vince Lombardi was onto something there! What Big Vince said would have been true for last season as we introduced a team into Region 2 and while the players had a great time, they took a beating every week! Fast forward a year and this team for the first time ever secured back to back wins following last weeks crushing win against Kooringal with this week’s ...hard-fought win against the Goulburn Valley Pears! Suddenly we are creating a winning habit! Thanks for noticing Vince! A wonderful week of first wins of the season for captain of the day Travis Santoso, Nicole Zhao and Mitch Waugh. The smile on their faces was great to see! Those points secured us a halve early in the day and it was left until very late in the piece for Luke Keenan to bring us home with a final halve point to secure the victory. Maddison Kelly fought all the way and unfortunately lost her match on the 18th green while Luke Cannard, in his first season came up against a formidable opponent with a 3 handicap! Wow! We prevailed and you know the saying winners are grinners! There are no more scheduled games for this team but please keep your eye’s on our facebook page for a pennant season wrap. 06.01.2022 Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club hosted Golf Australia’s latest Rookie Series event. With over 40 kids from around Melbourne participating, the club put on a great day for the kids. SLGC was strongly represented by a host of pennant players as well as many new beginners and up and comers from our cadet program. Congratulations to all that participated and especially several of our juniors that cleaned up on the prize front. Taegen Dodds shot round of the day with a 37 for 9 holes... to win the U12 gross while Luke Keenan continued his stellar form with 29 points and tie first in U12 nett division. In the girls section, future star in the U9s Sakura Yoshizawa came in second with a 51 - remember the name folks!!! Joanne Tey and Deborah Choi, in the girls U16, gave SLGC a 1,2 with Joanne winning by a close margin. Young gun Chilton Shum won nearest the pin on the 17 with a beautiful hybrid - a 5 year old getting it closer than the much larger teenagers - another name to lookout for! Well done to the players and the club for hosting this seasons best Rookie Series event! See more

01.01.2022 Our SLC juniors have been at it again! This time Keysborough Golf Club was the victim! Jake Findlay, playing in A grade, scored an impressive net 70 which secured him 3rd place. In B division, young Taegen Dodds shot a nett 66 which also secured 3rd spot. No pics were taken at the course but we caught up with them celebrating hard into the night at KFC! Well done lads!

01.01.2022 A stellar job in very windy conditions yesterday at the Rosanna Junior Open by SLC juniors! The team were well led by Joanne Tey winning the girls Gross with an 86. Taegen Dodds won the boys U12 nett with a 73. Congrats also go to Harrison Muller for his nearest the pin - this following last weeks hole in one - the boy is dialled in!!! Well done all!
